I would be forced to think about selling everything, even at a loss, and get out of there.

Really? I'd think foreigners would risk buying them at least. wow that sucks.
No one would buy a drought stricken farm my friend.
Especially if there are no relief to be seen in the future weather conditions. The bad ones have been suffering for 8 years already!
I know it looks bad but these things are cyclical so it seems like someone would see that good weather time would come back. And in the meantime they could pick up a farm for very cheap. It even makes me interested!
