LOH Contest #292 - Wet Season

As a wet season lover, I could say that I have more likes for rain than I have a dislike for it. For as long as I know I've never been a summer or dry season person. I easily get agitated and annoyed at the sight of a blazing sun. But every drop of rain makes my heart yearn for more. It brings peace and calmness to my wandering soul, soothes my disturbed mind in an unexplainable way.
Here in my country the dry season comes with extreme and unbearable heat, one that will have you going around with rechargeable hand fans which is something I do not miss in my handbag whenever I'm stepping out. The harshness is unbearable and makes me so uncomfortable and frustrated at times, sleeping at night without power supply can be really saddening because of how difficult it will be to get any sleep because of the weather condition

Currently it's the wet season in my country and the part I am in, it rains nearly everyday and I love that for myself, because not only will I have my room always feeling cold and fresh, I get to enjoy the privilege of not stepping out with an excuse that the rain restricted my movement especially on occasions that I really didn't want to step out, which could be a disadvantage to many other people.
Another thing I love about this season is that it aids the germination of our crops and farm produce, our vegetables and crops tend to grow fast and healthy too because there is enough rainfall to aid germination. The soil too is soft and easy to till for cultivation.
You can call it an obsession but seeing the sky suddenly turn dark and the clouds taking different shapes and forms gladdens my heart, I'm easily drawn in and I stare in amazement at the wonders of nature and how changes in weather condition could affect the entire environment in seconds.

The one thing I think I dislike the most about the wet season even though I love it so much depends on my environment and location, I'm allergic to muddy and wet soil, the sight of a dirty environment with the muddiness and wetness from the after rain makes my body itch all over. I do not like to see it, and at that moment I would pray for the sun to dry it up just a bit. But aside from this, everything about the wet or rainy season has my entire heart cause no season can be compared to it.

Having lived my whole life in the Great Bear Rain forest region of western Canada I have always enjoyed the rain. I sense a feeling of coziness as I enjoy a warm cup of tea while listening to the sound of rain upon my roof and window, how clean and fresh the air feels after a rain, everything seems to revitalize especially after the summer dry spells. And, saves me the task of watering my garden.
