Warhammer 40k - Hive Savings Fund 2025 - Week 18 $226 to go!
Hello everyone! Zak here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is my Warhammer Hive savings fund. I have been blogging about my hobby and I keep track of the HP or HBD earned from these posts that will become my Hobby fund.
The goal is to amass a Hobby Fund of HP before the next Bull run. However, I bought some collections from people, which I must pay off in HBD first.
I have been pausing this for a while to pay off some collections that I have bought up from others.
The ultimate goal? To have the largest Imperial army of Warhammer 40,000 and... play it against the other biggest collections and utterly destroy them! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Though... TBH the army is pretty big to start with to the massive Hive-powered army starts with a Head-start! I will be using my fund to pay for things like paint and glue to finish up what I have bought from others and new that is still not assembled.
Savings now: 405.686HP
@zakl.hobbyfund last week: $20.332
@zakludick hobby pay for this week: $5.523
@zakl.hobbyfund current funds: $13.267 + $5.523 + $0.228= $26.083
I have to check each week the exchange rate at the moment.
Current Goal: $253 - 26.083(in the hobby fund)
New Total: $226.917to go!

Here's an idea to boost the fund a little. With the massive force already at your disposal, could you put together a few different armies at a range of points values, together with guides on how to get the best out of them (published as posts on Hive, of course, for those extra few HBD...) ? Then rent them out to people at the shop who might want to test out a different army for a couple of HBD a time, or a few more HBD if they want personal coaching 😁
For a small sum they get to try an army out, you get to boost the hobby fund, and maybe it could onboard enough people to Hive that it would be worth getting @swordandboard to join the Distriator #spendhbd project.
