TRAINING FOR WAITERS/WAITRESSES|||HOW TO ATTEND TO CUSTOMERS IN A STANDARD RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE

Hello hivers ❤, I am lucky to witness the training of waiters and waitresses in the restaurant and lounge I work as a chef.Yes its a new place, which we have done the pre-opening two days ago.But the management was frowned at the managers and supervisors due to the poor services render to the guest invited for the pre-opening.

Though the meal prepared for the guest was nice, which the guest also acknowledge, But the services rendered by the waiter and waitresses while serving them was very poor. The customers where not happy and complained bitterly to the top management due to the poor services rendered by the waiters and waitresses.

The management had to call the manager to a meeting and express the way they feel which does not speak good because the first impression matters a lot, The customers are already complaining when we have not fully open.what if will open fully and the pressure is high, how are we going to cope if we can not cope with just few guest.

We only have five days left before the grand opening of the restaurant and lounge.So the management and manager concluded on having a training for the waiters and waitresses in order to avoid making same mistake on the day of the grand opening.

IMPORTANCE OF HAVING THE TRAINING

  • To prevent blunder
  • To avoid repeating the mistakes made
    on the day of pre-opening
  • For good customer services
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Perfect grand opening
  • To create positive impression for
    the customers
  • To make the environment conducive
    and comfortable for the customers

All these things listed above is very important to make the grand opening a very special moment for the customers and to correct the mistakes been made on the pre-opening day.good customer service is very important in a restaurant and lounge, this makes the customers having the mindset to come back some other time and patronize us.even when the meal tastes good, without good customer service it all wasteful effort.

The waiters and waitresses should be watchful of how they approach their customers, interact with them, and always smile all through while taking their orders and after the order.Also make sure u welcome the customers in a very polite manner.
