My First Time on TV

¿Alguna vez soñaron estar en televisión? yo verdaderamente no lo soñé, no pensaba estar en televisión en algún momento de mi vida, pero Dios a veces nos prepara escenarios que no entendemos, pero que nos hacen sentir muy bien; cuando comencé mis primeros pasos en el mundo de la bisutería y cuando comenzaron a estar de moda en el estado las ventas por estand y bazares, donde estos bazares estuvieron muy de moda y yo empecé a asistir como ponente a muchos de ellos con la idea de vender mi bisutería.

En aquella época yo estaba 100% activa realizando bisutería y accesorios para niñas, así que fue una gran oportunidad de poder asistir a estos eventos, recuerdo que fue como en el año 2016, mis hijos están pequeños y yo buscaba la manera de obtener algún dinero extra con mis ventas, en ese momento comenzó en Venezuela el auge de los emprendedores, la situación país nos llevó a emprender, pero fue una época buena para emprender.

En ese entonces había un programa en TVS que le daban oportunidad a emprendedores para conocerse, y tocó mi turno me invitaron, ya que yo no solo hacía bisutería sino orfebrería y eso me dio un plus diferente, pero con todo y eso yo tenia mucho miedo de presentarme, no sabia que iban a preguntarme, ni que debía decir, arme mi mesa con todos los accesorios que llevé y me senté a esperar la entrevista.

La entrevistadora me hizo muchas preguntas de mis accesorios, mi historia y muchas cosas que respondí con toda la sinceridad del mundo, pero hubo una pregunta que no supe responder y esa fue la que marcó y hasta hoy la recuerdo, era muy sencilla de contestar.pero por los nervios no se que me paso, me pregunto ¿que me diferenciaba a mi de otras creadoras de bisutería? Y allí no supe que responder y conteste otra cosa.

Luego de ir allí, se me abrieron puertas a otras televisores y radio, ya para las otras estaba más preparada para las preguntas que vibieran, pero esa primera vez me marcó, de resto salio todo bien, fue una gran entrevista y sie.pre quedará en mis recuerdos y ahora en este TBT.

Have you ever dreamed of being on TV? I honestly never dreamed of it—I never thought I’d be on TV at any point in my life but God sometimes sets us up in situations we don’t understand, yet that make us feel really good; When I took my first steps into the world of costume jewelry and when sales at booths and bazaars started to become popular in the state—these bazaars were all the rage—I began attending many of them as a vendor with the goal of selling my jewelry.

At that time, I was 100% focused on making jewelry and accessories for girls, so it was a great opportunity to attend these events. I remember it was around 2016; my children were young, and I was looking for a way to make some extra money through my sales. That was when the entrepreneurial boom began in Venezuela the country’s situation pushed us to start our own businesses, but it was a good time to do so.

Back then, there was a show on TVS that gave entrepreneurs the chance to meet each other, and when it was my turn, they invited me since I didn’t just make costume jewelry but also fine jewelry, which gave me a unique edge— but even so, I was really scared to go on the show—I didn’t know what they were going to ask me or what I should say. I set up my table with all the accessories I’d brought and sat down to wait for the interview.

The interviewer asked me many questions about my accessories, my story, and lots of other things, which I answered with complete sincerity. But there was one question I didn’t know how to answer—and that’s the one that stood out and that I still remember to this day. It was a very simple question to answer, but because of my nerves I don’t know what came over me she asked me, “What sets me apart from other costume jewelry designers?” And right then, I didn’t know what to say, so I answered something else.

After that appearance, doors opened for me to other TV and radio shows. By then, I was better prepared for whatever questions might come up, but that first time really left a mark on me. Other than that, everything went well—it was a great interview—and it will always stay in my memories, and now in this TBT.
