From 6,499 down to 4,403 pesos price on phone

Hello lovely Hive friends! How are you all? How's life had been?

I am fine and happy, thought I had several headaches these past few days, I am happy that t are bearable and it was gone for now even if I didn't take any medications.

Now back to the title, Have you ever bought something with a huge discount?
Well, I have but I really doubt if it was just a marketing strategy or if it was real.

Though I have seen a friend buying the same product at the original price. I have shared in my previous Market Friday post about an online shopping platform that I was crazy about and this is another purchase I did in there.

I never really had my own phone, the one that I was using now is a company-issued phone and I only inserted a Dito sim in its second slot so I could use it on my online transactions, especially Hive.

I had been eyeing this phone since last year, I kept it in my cart and tried checking out every month's sale to see how much discount would I have, Actually I kept all the phones in my cart and compared it to the other brands in the same price range and specs.

There I knew about the specs, I thought at first all phones were almost the same but due to constant upgrades on the phone specifications, I noticed there was huge differences among phones.

I realized that when buying phones, one should look at the RAM, and ROM, and when one needs a camera badly like when he is into blogging, he should need a higher specs camera like 48MP and above. Also, the battery capacity should be considered too accompanied by how fast the charging will be, Imagine your phone has 600mAh capacity and but you had to charge for over 12 hours to get it full, it would be very frustrating, right?

You know, my sister didn't know much about this and when she bought her phone last year, she just opted for a phone that had a nice camera. well most people do buy phones like she does and some go to what was on trend never minding if it was really worth it. Imagine your phone is over 300 dollars yet you only use it for Facebook and some sites that you can't earn.

Now about the phone that I bought, It has

  • 4 GB RAM
  • 64 GB ROM
  • 48 MP Camera
  • 6000 MAh Battery Capacity
  • it comes with a free charger, earphones, phone cover, and protective film

Here are some of the photos I took with the new phone

I loved it since day one but what's amazing is the price! The original price (suggested retail price was 6,499 pesos, that's roughly 120 dollars but I only got it for 81! Here's how I got a lower price

That was on New year, and the platform had its new year sale of 26% and I used a voucher worth 480 pesos. With the delivery fee of 84 pesos only, I paid 4,403 pesos as final price.

And guess what, the phone is worth it. Oh and by the way, when it was scheduled to be delivered that day, I was on leave from work and I called the delivery man to meet him up. Good thing he was on my way to my appointment and that he was too kind to wait for me and transact even fi e were on teh side of the road.

This will be all for my #marketfriday entry this week. Keep safe everyone!

That is awesome and a super deal! It pays to do your homework~ I can see that you said you are happy with your phone and I can honestly say that I am happy, it sounds like you deserve it after all the hard work of comparing and waiting until the timing is right~

Congratulations on the new phone.

I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators than the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, sometimes money means very little when there is no value behind it. You cannot buy health although you can take care of what you have. Being educated isn't always about schooling, but acquiring knowledge and using it for the better good and happiness of the society you are living in. It is with great pleasure that I read through this and all of the posts, with these thoughts in mind.

Don't miss the small things in your life, they usually make no noise but can be indicators of bigger things. I enjoy learning more about you and hope you feel the same. I hope you are having an amazing week!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
