"Cumbia" weekend
Cumbia weekend
Did you know I’m a cumbia singer now?
I’ll tell you this funny story and how my weekends have changed.
A few months ago I had a reunion with an old acquaintance.
I bumped into him unexpectedly and we started chatting to catch up.
And between stories that came and went, I ended up included as a singer in his cumbia band.
We were talking late and, even though it was late at night, I walked home and as I was doing it, I couldn’t believe what had just happened to me.
Without waiting for him and as if fallen from the sky, I became a cumbia singer.
Beyond being a job proposal with which I could earn extra money, it became the opportunity to do something I like, but even more, to meet charming people and share adventures with them.
Actually, that’s been one of the most fun activities I’ve done since I’ve been in this new city.
Rehearsals and presentations are on the weekends, so it’s a great way to spend Saturdays and Sundays before getting back to work.
So, this first experience with my colleagues, was very good and allowed me to do something like sing, which I like very much and I am happy with my soul.
In the video that I have produced, you will be able to know details of the story, see some of the essays and the presentation.
I hope you have also had a weekend as fun as mine and are encouraged to share your story in this community.

How wonderful to hear your story. It seems that you are very happy to belong to this group and to recover and meet new friends. One should always be where one feels best. I loved your post. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of the work you are doing. Thank you very much for sharing English subtitles, most of the platform is English speaking and this way you reach both audiences. This video is a 10 out of 10 my friend, happy start of the week!...
Thank you for taking the time to watch my post and video. I’m so glad you found the subtitles enjoyable. I love reaching more people.
And you’re absolutely right, I’m extremely happy with these new friends and with being able to sing again.
