On Thursday the 21st of this month, I went to the city of Caracas to carry out various errands for my own work issues and since I finished them early I wanted to take the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful capital for a while. The initial plan was to go to the World Poetry Festival where a beautiful recital would be given at the Casa de las Letras de Andrés Bello, but when we arrived there was nothing at all.

Yes, you read that right, we arrived, because I met the beautiful @aguamiel who brought some arepas, DIVINE! and a coffee with milk and cinnamon. DIVINE! That particular aroma flooded every place we walked, I thought it was due to a nearby bakery or cafeteria (very good by the way) and it turns out that it came from her bag hahaha! She came prepared to share a good portion, I savored it and tried EVERYTHING ALONE because our valued @edwing357 could not arrive for health reasons but another outing is pending where he will bring some delicious golféados that only he knows how to prepare and I will be very willing to try such creative cuisine delicacies. All this happened in Plaza San Jacinto, formerly known as Plaza de Armas, which is located in front of the birthplace of our liberator.

Although the weather was drizzly and we couldn't do the activities we wanted to do, we made our own tour where in almost every corner we could find the venerable Doctor José Gregorio Hernández: In the San Francisco Church, Craft Store in front of the Cathedral of Caracas among others.

I love the final photo, I was insistent that I wanted to take a photo there, with my crutch so that it would appear as a memory in time and say: "Here I was already recovering from the sprain..." The funny thing is that it doesn't come out, I didn't edit it, I left it as it was taken, I think my guardian angel or our father of the country the great Simón Bolívar came out there with me, attracted by that good coffee, could it be?

El jueves 21 del presente mes, fui a la ciudad de Caracas a realizar diligencias varias por asuntos propios de trabajo y como los terminé temprano quería aprovechar para disfrutar un ratico de nuestra bella capital, el plan inicial era ir al Festival Mundial de la Poesía donde se daría un precioso recital en la Casa de las Letras de Andrés Bello, pero cuando llegamos no había nada de nada.

Si, lees bien, llegamos, porque me reuní con la preciosa @aguamiel que llevó unas arepas super mega requete recontra ¡DIVINAS! y un café con leche y canela ¡DIVINOO! ese aroma en particular inundaba cada lugar por donde camináramos, yo pensaba que se debía a alguna panadería o cafés cercanos (muy buenos por cierto) y resulta que provenía de su bolso jajaja!, venía preparada para realizar un buen compartir, todo eso saboree y degusté YO SOLITA porque nuestro apreciado @edwing357 no pudo llegar por motivos de salud pero queda pendiente otra salida donde llevará unos deliciosos golfeados que sólo él sabe preparar y yo estaré dispuestísima para probar tales delicias de la cocina creativa.

Aunque el tiempo fue de llovizna y las actividades que queríamos hacer no pudimos cumplirlas, hicimos nuestro propio recorrido donde en casi cada esquina nos pudimos encontrar al venerable Doctor José Gregorio Hernández: En la Iglesia San Francisco, Tienda de Artesanía frente a la Catedral de Caracas entre otros.

La foto final me encanta, yo tenía insistencia que me quería tomar una foto ahí, con mi muleta para que aparezca de recuerdo en el tiempo y decir: "Aquí ya me estaba recuperando del esguince..." lo gracioso es que no sale, no la edite, la dejé tal cual como fue tomada, creo que salió ahí conmigo mi ángel de la guarda o nuestro gran Simón Bolívar atraído por ese buen café, ¿Será?.
