[ESP/ENG] Paseo al Jardín Japones / Walk to the Japanese Garden

One of my goals this year is to visit a different place in the city where I am living every month. This Saturday after attending the church service I went to visit the Japanese Garden of Buenos Aires. A placid place that despite being very crowded is very organized, an enclosure that by its urbanism and planning of its gardens you can feel the peace that transmits and is widely used for meditation, the main purpose for which it was built.
The Japanese Garden was created by the Japanese community of Buenos Aires and is located in the neighborhood of Palermo. It was built in 1967, on the occasion of the visit to Argentina of the then Crown Prince Akihito, current Emperor of Japan.
The lakes of the Japanese Garden are inhabited by hundreds of colorful fish (carp), which can be fed by visitors.
The Japanese Garden is managed by the Argentine-Japanese Cultural Foundation. For this reason many traditional Japanese festivals are held here. The Japanese Garden does not receive subsidies from the governments of Japan, Argentina, or the City of Buenos Aires; it is self-financed through entrance fees.
The Japanese Garden also has a library with Japanese literature and themes. There are also courses on Japanese cuisine and culture and bonsai cultivation. The Japanese Garden is also used for meditation.

En este paseo me acompañaron mi hija Elisa y nuestra amiga Alicia con quien nos reunimos cada cierto tiempo a conversar y compartir un rato de esparcimiento muy merecido luego de nuestras largas jornadas laborales. El paseo comenzó con un almuerzo el cual termino con su respectivo postre. Esta parada fue en una esquina de la Avenida Scalabrini Ortiz cerca del jardín Japones.

On this trip I was accompanied by my daughter Elisa and our friend Alicia with whom we met every so often to talk and share a well-deserved time of relaxation after our long working days. The tour began with a lunch which ended with its respective dessert. This stop was at a corner of Scalabrini Ortiz Avenue near the Japanese garden.

When we arrived at the place there were long lines to buy the tickets, lines that we did not make since we had bought the tickets online in advance. The place in this season of the year is colorless, it is in the spring when the cherry blossoms give it that splendor so characteristic of Japanese gardens. There are stores where you can buy Japanese handicrafts and food.

Friends, we could not leave the place without performing the ritual of Kiyome, which consists of ringing a big bell so that the sound emitted by it will drive away all our bad vibes.

The afternoon ended on a high note with a mantis that I found in the garden, observing it I came to the conclusion that we should be like it... flexible and strong at the same time in the face of life's setbacks and that our vulnerability and fragility as human beings should always keep us within humility and love towards the people and nature that surrounds us.
