Enseñar siempre he pensado que no es una tarea sencilla, porque el que uno estudie solo es muy diferente ya que de alguna u otra manera se consigue aprender uno mismo, pero transmitirlo a otros es definitivamente otro cuento, cuando estaba en el colegio siempre me gustaba estudiar sola, se me hacía más sencillo y me enfocaba en ello, pero en algunos momentos tenía compañeras que me pedían que estudiáramos juntas, claro cosas como explicar ejercicios de matemática y química bueno normal podía, aunque a veces se me dificultaba explicarlo pero hacia lo mejor que podía no solo desde el punto de vista que yo lo entendía sino como ellos pudieran entenderlo.

Pero un día una amiga me pidió que le explicará historia, debo decir que para mí fue confuso porque en si cuando estudiaba algo de teoría aplicaba mucho la parte de alcaletre, no era del todo bueno porque lo ideal es analizar y decir con sus propias palabras, pero en mi caso se me dificultaba ello y prefería alcaletre, aunque de vez en cuando me salía decirlo con mis propias palabras, por ello cuando mi amiga me pide ello me sentía algo abrumada para hacerlo, aunque a la final logre explicarle y ella le guste más que ponerse a estudiar sola, cuando se tuvo el examen salió muy bien y me agradeció, la felicidad que sentí fue mucha porque a pesar que no era mi fuerte para poderle explicar, ella pese a todo lo entendió y salió bien que era lo importante, el lograr transmitirle a otros lo que tú has aprendido te llena de mucha alegría y satisfacción al respecto.

Aunque es inevitable tener momentos en los que sientes que no estás del todo preparada para enseñar, por más que hayas estudiado antes siempre sientes como que falta algo para poder cumplir con las expectativas, siendo de esta manera una sensación de que no está del todo bien y por ello hay que esforzarse más, así mismo también lograr explicar correctamente lo que quieres decir, para que no solo tú lo entiendas sino que todos puedan comprenderlo de la manera correcta, el dar más que recibir llena mucho, porque sientes que no solo te quedas con ello sino que puedes apoyar y saldar esas dudas que puede tener la otra persona, el enseñar te permite transmitir poco o mucho de lo que has aprendido de la mejor manera, tratando no ser una persona que se la sabe toda, al contrario alguien que con lo que aprendió puede ayudar y transmitírselo para que pueda ser usado como una herramienta para crecer en conocimiento y así resolver sus dudas.

I’ve always thought that teaching isn’t an easy task, because studying on your own is very different—since, one way or another, you manage to learn on your own—but passing that knowledge on to others is definitely a whole different story. When I was in school, I always liked to study alone; it was easier for me that way, and I could really focus on it, but sometimes my classmates would ask me to study with them. Of course, things like explaining math and chemistry problems—well, I could usually do that, even though it was sometimes hard for me to explain them. But I did my best, not just from the perspective of how I understood it, but also from how they could understand it.

But one day a friend asked me to explain history to her. I have to say it was confusing for me because, when I studied theory, I tended to just regurgitate facts. It wasn’t ideal—the best approach is to analyze and explain things in your own words—but I found that difficult and preferred to just recite facts, even though every now and then I managed to put it into my own words. so when my friend asked me to do that, I felt a bit overwhelmed, though in the end I managed to explain it to her, and she liked it better than studying on her own. When the exam came, she did very well and thanked me. I felt so happy because even though explaining things wasn’t my strong suit, she understood it all anyway and did well, which was what mattered. Being able to convey to others what you’ve learned fills you with so much joy and satisfaction.

Although there are inevitably times when you feel you’re not quite ready to teach—no matter how much you’ve studied beforehand—you always feel like something is missing to meet expectations. This creates a sense that things aren’t quite right, which is why you have to try harder.
