A good life is a life well spent. Well, that's just how I see my life now, spent on things I love, without boundaries and without living on the expectations of the people around me. I get to understand that I am responsible for my own happiness, and that I am not responsible for everyone's expectations and opinions about me. My life is coming from me and not at me, so better think of it this way so when the day I die comes, I won't regret even a bit of the life I lived happily.

One great way to maximize my life experiences is to visit places I have never been. It is about taking trips, whether spontaneous or planned, visiting places that could hold memories you hold dear, and give you another perspective of what life is through its beauty and the people you stumble upon. These places might not make sense at first, because they require planning and budget, but in the long run, their sense will appear in how you experience and see your life. That it was not just a trip or a visit, but another way of living and being happy.

Last month, we were able to visit a resort in Tabuelan, Cebu, for a birthday occasion. I was invited by my friend to attend, and some of my batchmates also attended the said event. For the record, it is the Kaway Beach Resort, which is known for its relaxing atmosphere and Maldives-like designs, stretched across its villas and whole interior. Here is what you need to know about Kaway, written briefly but clearly.

What To Know About Kaway Beach Resort

Kaway Resort and Spa in Tabuelan, Cebu, I say, is a good choice for tourists who are interested in a quiet seaside escape instead of crowded and busy destinations. Kaway Resort and Spa has a mix of beach and pool experiences, with clear blue waters, a walkway, and scenic, stunning views of the sea that are perfect for relaxation and photo opportunities. Celebrations like family gatherings, milestones, birthdays, and couple stays can be held here. To be honest, what I like about this resort is its wide pool at the center, bordered by white benches, directly hit by sunlight in the daytime, hence giving you a warm, perfect pool experience while swimming around. At night, the whole atmosphere changes, and you can feel the Maldives-inspired design of this resort entirely.

Kaway Resort and Spa offers both day-use access and overnight stays for those who want to experience the resort. In day-use, entrance fees are charged and are usually around the low thousand-peso range per head, while overnight room rates are more expensive. It depends on the room rates and the season you visit, since they sometimes offer promos. Based on the internet, their most popular accommodations are the water villas, which are designed for small groups or couples and often include breakfast. There are also land-based rooms and cottages available in the resort if you want more seaside chill and relaxation. You can check their website and page for more information regarding their promos and peak seasons. I recommend not visiting during peak seasons, which will make your stay more pricey.

The resort is located in Tabuelan, San Remigio, on the northwest side of Cebu Island. Travel time from Cebu City is usually around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on road traffic and weather. Search for a bus that says Tabuelan and hop in. You can ride a tricycle or habal-habal to get to the specific resort, which fortunately most local drivers know where it is located. You can also get there by private car or motorcycle using map apps for directions. Because the location is a bit remote, it is recommended to plan your trip schedule ahead, bring essentials, and confirm reservations before visiting.

That is all about Kaway Resort and Spa, and I hope I was able to give you an interesting overview of it. While it might seem boring for some, the experiences would tell the whole story. There is a unique perspective when we are the ones who see it personally and experience the welcoming personality of Kaway Resort and Spa. It was a beautiful experience, but it was just a one-night stay since we all had classes the next day. If I were to describe Kaway, it is stunning and peaceful. If you ever get to visit this resort, feel free to comment in the comment box on how you would define this resort. Thank you for reading, dearest Hivers.

I really resonated with your opening words about living life for yourself and finding happiness in travel. Kaway Resort looks like the perfect place to embody that philosophy 😍

I'm happy the opening line have resonated to you @ellie-mai. It is nice to meet someone who share the same sentiment as me. Kaway Resort is one of the places, I would say, have changed my perspective in life. It is not only a resort but a place for realization and new perspective.
