Bienvenidos a Playa La Poza/ Welcome to La Poza Beach

Hola hola , mis corazones de HIVE-MARGARITA, ¿cómo han estado? Espero que bien, yo aún desde hace 3 semanas esperando a que llegue el agua aquí en el pueblo…

Quería traerles en este post algo diferente, usualmente les publico cosas en las que he participado o lugares donde he estado al otro lado de la isla, pero no les he mostrado mi lado de la isla, si mi gente, del puente para acá. Y con eso y como dice el título de este post quiero mostrarles Playa La Poza, la cual es la playa principal aquí en Boca del Río.

Si eres turista (en su defecto, del otro lado de la isla) y visitas Boca del Río puedes acceder a esta hermosa playa de agua cristalina desde la entrada principal del pueblo, lo primero que pasas es el módulo de atención turística, luego la UDO de aquí (sí, tenemos una UDO) la cuál es especializada en ciencias aplicadas al mar, y siguiendo el malecón y pasando el playón llegas junto a la playa.

Puedes estacionar tu carro en el malecón o a los laterales del playón. Y al frente de esta puedes disfrutar de bebidas en festejos y si te da hambre comprar algo pues en la panadería frente a la playa, con tal, solo tienes que cruzar nada más y nada menos que la calle.

Vengo a esta playa cada vez que puedo junto con mi familia o mis amistades del pueblo, porque bueno pues, nos queda a unos 10 minutos a pie (es que vivo a las afueras del pueblo), la última vez que fui, fue con la llegada de mi prima y mi tía de Caracas, y la playa ese día estaba como un plato, planiiiita y estaba calentita, ese día salimos chamuscadas ya que estuvimos ahí desde las 9 am hasta medio día, pero salimos felices, quemadas, y sin flemas para las que fueron enfermas a quitarse los males.

Si mi gente, no hay nada mejor para quitarse la gripe o la flema que un buen baño en la playa desde la mañana…

I wanted to bring you something different in this post. I usually post about things I've participated in or places I've been to on the other side of the island, but I haven't shown you my side of the island, my people, from the bridge to here. And with that, and as the title of this post says, I want to show you Playa La Poza, which is the main beach here in Boca del Río.

If you are a tourist (or, failing that, from the other side of the island) and you visit Boca del Río, you can access this beautiful beach with crystal clear water from the main entrance to the town. The first thing you pass is the tourist information centre, then the UDO here (yes, we have a UDO), which specialises in marine sciences, and following the promenade and passing the beach, you arrive at the beach.

You can park your car on the promenade or on the sides of the beach. In front of the beach, you can enjoy drinks at celebrations, and if you get hungry, you can buy something at the bakery across from the beach. All you have to do is cross the street.

I come to this beach whenever I can with my family or friends from the village, because, well, it's only about a 10-minute walk away (I live on the outskirts of the village). The last time I went was when my cousin and aunt arrived from Caracas, and the beach that day was as flat as a pancake and warm. We got sunburnt that day because we were there from 9 a.m. until noon, but we left happy, burnt, and without phlegm for those who were sick and wanted to get rid of their ailments.

Yes, folks, there's nothing better for getting rid of the flu or phlegm than a good swim at the beach in the morning...
