✏️ ¡Hola queridos amigos de Hive! Sean bienvenidos a un nuevo Post, espero que estén teniendo un lindo día.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el proceso de como hice mi nueva foto de perfil en Instagram. No sé si lo habrán notado, pero desde el dibujo pasado tengo una nueva firma, esto se debe a que decidí empezar de 0 mi vida artística.

Durante un tiempo he estado observando mis dibujos y he visto que a pesar de que quedaban bien nunca me convencían, sentía que no me pertenecían y que de alguna manera algo les faltaba. Por ello había decidido dejar de dibujar por unas semanas y de hecho fueron esas semanas en las que no subí nada acá a Hive. Durante ese tiempo de "descanso" despejé mi mente y decidí que era hora de empezar de nuevo, sé que no es fácil, pero considero que es lo mejor para mí, porque durante ese cambio hice dos ilustraciones que son el dibujo que hice para Splinterlands y la portada de libro inspirada en la Serie LUPIN, las cuales me encantan y por primera vez siento total satisfacción por mis dibujos.

La idea de firmar como Gover fue fácil porque siempre me he llamado así desde que tenía como 9 años jaja, el nombre salió de la nada y su origen fue muy gracioso la verdad, pero eso no importa ahora. Lo cierto es que siempre me he identificado con ese nombre artístico, así que decidí empezar esta nueva etapa con el nombre de Gover, siempre me verán como Vicente, pero a partir de ahora firmaré como Gover.

• ✏️ Hello dear friends of Hive, welcome to a new post, I hope you are having a nice day.

• Today I want to share with you the process of how I made my new profile picture on Instagram. I don't know if you have noticed, but since last drawing I have a new signature, this is because I decided to start from 0 my artistic life.

• For a while I have been observing my drawings and I have seen that even though they looked good they never convinced me, I felt that they didn't belong to me and that somehow something was missing. That's why I had decided to stop drawing for a few weeks and in fact it was during those weeks that I didn't upload anything here to Hive. During that time of "rest" I cleared my mind and decided it was time to start again, I know it's not easy, but I consider it's the best for me, because during that change I did two illustrations which are the drawing I did for Splinterlands and the book cover inspired by the LUPIN Series, which I love and for the first time I feel total satisfaction for my drawings.

• The idea of signing as Gover was easy because I've always called myself that way since I was about 9 years old haha, the name came out of nowhere and its origin was really funny, but that doesn't matter now. The truth is that I have always identified myself with that artistic name, so I decided to start this new stage with the name Gover, you will always see me as Vicente, but from now on I will sign as Gover.

Lo primero que hice fue hacer el boceto, para este dibujo me basé en la foto que tengo actualmente de perfil acá en Hive. Así que fue un poco fácil, la verdad no soy de dibujarme mucho, y la verdad no me gusta jaja, pero bueno, es algo que tenía que hacer, así que decidí hacer una versión de una de las pocas fotos que me han gustado a lo largo de toda mi vida, puesto que no suelo tomarme fotos porque no me gustan.

Primero hice dos bocetos con diferentes perspectivas, así podría decidir con cuál quedarme, al final decidí hacer la que está viendo de frente, ya que consideré que era más correcta. Una vez escogí la idea en una capa encima empecé a pulir el boceto, al final salió el que verán a continuación. Luego realicé el estudio de color basado en los colores que están en mi foto. También agregué alguna iluminación azul a la gorra y unos reflejos rojizos al cabello.

• The first thing I did was to make the sketch, for this drawing I based it on the picture I currently have in my profile here in Hive. So it was a bit easy, the truth is I'm not much of a drawer, and I really don't like it haha, but well, it's something I had to do, so I decided to make a version of one of the few photos I've liked throughout my life, since I don't usually take pictures of myself because I don't like them.

• First I made two sketches with different perspectives, so I could decide which one to keep, in the end I decided to do the one that is looking from the front, as I considered it was more correct. Once I chose the idea in a layer on top I began to polish the sketch, in the end I got the one you will see below. Then I made the color study based on the colors that are in my photo. I also added some blue lighting to the cap and some reddish highlights to the hair.

Una vez que hice el estudio de color empecé a colorear, esta fue la parte más divertido, ya que la textura que logré me encantó demasiado. Primero empecé por la gorra y el cabello, no suelo hacer gorras, así que me tomé mi tiempo porque quería que quedara lo más perfecta posible, para hacer mi cabello me tardé bastante porque a veces lo tengo liso y otras veces está enredado y bueno, está vez decidí hacerlo enredado, creo que es el más correcto para la ocasión.

Luego coloreé el rostro, coloreado las orejas, nariz y mejillas de forma aleatoria y divirtiéndome bastante, no tengo una forma fija de colorear, siempre improviso y me divierto jugando con los pinceles, luego coloreé los ojos y mis características cejas gruesas. Para finalizar me coloreé los lentes, puesto que en la vida real uso lentes y le agregué algunas luces y sombras al fondo para que no se vea tan simple, para ello usé el pincel aerógrafo y apliqué suavemente con un tono más oscuro en la parte de abajo y un tono más claro en la parte de arriba, también realicé un poco más la luz azul de la gorra y la luz rojiza del cabello.

• Once I did the color study I started coloring, this was the most fun part, because I loved the texture I achieved. First I started with the cap and the hair, I don't usually do caps, so I took my time because I wanted it to be as perfect as possible, to do my hair I took a long time because sometimes I have it straight and other times it's tangled and well, this time I decided to make it tangled, I think it's the most correct for the occasion.

• Then I colored the face, I colored the ears, nose and cheeks randomly and having a lot of fun, I don't have a fixed way of coloring, I always improvise and have fun playing with the brushes, then I colored the eyes and my characteristic thick eyebrows. To finish I colored the glasses, since in real life I use glasses and I added some lights and shadows to the background so it doesn't look so simple, for this I used the airbrush and applied softly with a darker tone on the bottom and a lighter tone on the top, I also made a little more the blue light of the cap and the reddish light of the hair.
