Novena Mass for Our Patron Saint & Fireworks
Happy weekend @asean.hive community how's your week? Mine was like a rollercoaster ride, my son is always stocked on our house. He used to bike often morning and afternoon now he walks to go on places and I'm not used to it. Because I can see the loneliness in his eyes, I just told him that maybe it's time to relax and focus more on his lessons in school. After all his has much to learn, at the age of 13 his still young and needs to go to a lot of process.
For my today's post let me flex the beauty of our place every December. Three days from now we will be celebrating the feast day of our patron saint Saint Lucy, the healer of the eye. The tradition of our place starts before December. They will make the decoration and hang it before the novena starts. It's takes ten consecutive nights to complete the Novena mass and they said that you could make a wish if you'll not fail to attend the mass. I told my daughter to take photos of the church because she often go to our cover court to practice for their math dance.
And here's how it look at night, the Novena mass stars at 18:30. The chairs was all occupied I was already expecting that. We couldn't go early too because Ria is naughty, she wants to run around the place and I don't want to distract others that are praying. Even outside you'll notice that its also crowded. That's how people worship our Patron Saint
After the mass there's a band sponsored by the resident in our place. It's really pricey but in our city our place was popular for it's band and amateur singing contest. If Im good at singing I'll actually join the contest the price will sure feed my family. But I wasn't bless with a Golden voice like the others lol 🤣 😆. It was a lot fun watching a live amateur contest the contenders are really amazing.
And the moment of truth, all was waiting for a fireworks display. Last year we only had it at exact feast day, we usually had it twice; first day of novena and last at the feast day. Looks like they prepared much and everyone was happy taking pictures and videos of the fireworks.
Thank you so much for reading
