Griffith Park and Hollywood

Needed to test my abilities to function in society so I thought I would take a walk. The bus went right up to Fern Dell in Griffith Park but I found a reasonable Uber instead.

It is a lot prettier without the pre-covid crowds, but the heat and the car noise nearby did take from the enjoyment.

I was hoping to find a relaxing place to sit and draw but the heat and the people talking loudly everywhere put that dream to rest.

I went to the "Trails Cafe" for a light snack and sat in the shade near the trail to eat.

I was running low on water, so after a brief, hour long stroll I headed west toward civiliation.

A few blocks away is "Franklin Village" a quirky comedy starring,...this guy.

Seriously; it is a cool little hidden enclave with shops and restaurants

I stopped to get a drink at "The Bourgeois Pig " a colorful cafe with rather dramatic lighting.

I was really hot and exhausted and couldn't take the noise, but I found this little cave in back where I sat for a bit.

Here is where I began to realize the room I was in was closed.

I tried to explain that I didn't know it was closed. The owner didn't seem to believe me but she was cool. I know I was acting a bit weird due to the heat; I sat for a bit at another table before venturing out again.

The walk was a bit too hot at first but once I got to Hollywood Blvd it was shadier. I appreciated the trees and noted the sidewalks seemed cleaner than I was used to.

I always see something new when I go to Hollywood.

The above picture is what Hollywood felt like on Friday. Very bright and suspiciously clean; I wonder who died for this.

So many fascinating nooks and crannies; and of course you see these guys everywhere.

They will be offering you a personality test; everywhere. I won't say whether or not to take it; but maybe do some research and decide before you go there.

In other news; I don't know if this is the best name for a Pizza restaurant; opinions?

I got another drink at a cafe and did a little doodling before heading home on the Metro. Not too much of a fail I guess. I will try again soon.
