Fireworks by the Riverside [PhotoChain Challenge - 33th Edition]

Good night, fellow Bees of the Hive!

This is my entry for the PhotoChain Challenge: 33th Edition, hosted by @davidesimoncini.

The keywords for this edition are Air and Crimson, picked by the previous winners @rafaelgreen and @qwerrie. (My personal keyword for this edition is Boat.)

I got this great shot during the fireworks feast which happened during the New Years Celebration in Vila do Conde. Lots of people gather every year by the river to see the fireworks, drink a few beers and hang out with their families and friends.

This is not a very big town so the fireworks are not as glamorous as in some other cities such as Lisbon or Porto... but they are equally beautiful. The colours from the fireworks are reflected on the river's water, which makes a very cool effect. 😊

Yeah, it's normal that some photos end up blurry because of the rapid movement of the fireworks... That's why I took a lot of photos! One or two would have to came out well! 😅

Awesome photos, though unfortunately a bit grainy. But then again, night time photoshoots are incredibly hard 🙃. This is quite a magnificent fireworks show, though. I can't imagine how big the firework rockets are, but it's totally worth it! I just Googled to see more of Vila do Conde, and I realise now how beautiful everything in Portugal is ❤️

Admittedly, Lisbon is the only place that comes to mind when mentioning Portugal. But it's great to learn more of the rest of this stunningly beautiful country 😁

It depends on what you like to see and do. If you prefer the beach, then Algarve and Alentenjo are better. If you enjoy Islands, I'd recommend the beautiful Azores... and if you just want to see how the locals are living, maybe the North of Portugal would be better! 😁

Ooooh, I'll definitely add those to my bucket list of places to visit before I get old, because my nutritions aren't good. I'm shocked by how much (little) Portuguese I've learned from dining in at Nando's 😆

Spot on my friend! This is a fantastic entry. We don't see this fireworks anymore in our city since our former mayor, now president, banned them over 20 years ago. No one's complaining though as we have had zero firework accidents in all that time.
