Asia is the Place Where Skyscrapers Live In [PhotoChain Challenge - 35th Edition]

Good night, fellow Bees of the Hive!

This is my entry for the PhotoChain Challenge: 35th Edition, hosted by @davidesimoncini.

The keywords for this edition are Skyscraper and Black and White, picked by the previous winners, myself and @melinda010100. (My personal keyword for this edition is Bridge.)

In Europe we have plenty of high buildings but most of them are not tall enough to be considered skyscrapers. In fact, what we call a high building in Europe is usually only half the size of a skyscraper, as they are around 20 storeys high. To us, that is already incredibly high. 🤭

To see real skyscrapers, though, one should head to the big cities in Asia. Over there, buildings over 40 storeys high are as common as mushrooms in a forest. 😮

I took this photo while standing over the Eitai Bridge and from this place you can see a section where the Sumida river separates into two smaller streams... before being rejoined a bit ahead. Yes, that section of land with all those skyscrapers is actually a small island in the region of Chūō City, in the heart of Tokyo.

These guys are truly masters of Engineering. This kind of thing would be unthinkable in the small city where I come from...

Nice shot of the buildings and the bridge. Never been to Japan but I heard it's a great place to visit albeit the language barrier.

The language is not a problem, you'll do well with English. 😅

Beautiful entry trincowski. You said the right, I had never seen this type of buildings, only in photos.

This is quite true. Every time I see pictures of a European skyline, there's always some tall towers sticking out in the background, but most of the buildings are fairly moderate in height, alongside historic buildings, landmarks, and medieval castles. But when I go to Kuala Lumpur, everything is so tall. Waking around, I feel like an ant... Very, very small 🙃

Yeah, they really go overboard with those buildings. I can't imagine such a thing in Portugal... if our workers take around 5 years to make a 15 storey building, when would have they finish such a high tower? Around 2137? 😅

I guess they really pay close attention, and take great care to all 15 storeys, then 😆. There's so many new skyscrapers being built here in Kuala Lumpur, and two of them are vying for the highest buildings in South East Asia right now. One will be finished soon, and another a couple more years later. It's madness!

Nah, they're just slow. They smoke a cigarette and drink a beer every 30 mins or so! 😆

Even from across the other side of the world, workers there are not much different from here, then 😅.
