A Few Nice Graffiti Murals in Nitra, Slovakia

avatar

Hello, Bees of the Hive!

Today I want to show you a couple of cool Graffiti murals I've found in the city of Nitra, Slovakia. You might have seen a glimpse of one of them already, on my post from yesterday: A Duo of Relaxing Slovaks (my entry for the PhotoChain Challenge: 24rd Edition)

Here's a much better shot of said mural, which can be appreciated at a public garden in Nitra.

This is a close up of the left part of the drawing... where you take a better look at that portrait:

P1090152.JPG

I liked the detail of the smashed spray can. 😁

... and I took another close up shot at the right side, of course. It looks like the artists decided to depict themselves on the image. 😎

P1090153.JPG

It was impossible to capture the entire wall on a single frame, so I made several photos, one for each part.

At the right side of the above image, there was a more abstract shape with a city in the background:

P1090154.JPG

Further to the right, I saw two odd characters riding a crossbreed of elephants with seashells. They seem to be Metalheads, heading for a concert. Very creative concept. 😈

The above Graffiti were in great condition, they looked rather new.

The end of the mural was a bit defaced by overlapping scribbles. It included a bird... and a very weird animal. Is it a lion, perhaps? 🤔

On a different wall, next to the swimming pool entrance, there was another set of artworks. The wall was cracked in several places and some of the paint was peeling off, but most of the drawings were still in good shape.

P1090366.JPG

I took some close up shots once again, so you can better see the details. Here's a interesting and colourful peacock, with lots of faces in its feathers...

P1090367.JPG

... and a camel.

P1090368.JPG

I also saw a few abstract shapes, too...

P1090369.JPG

The last part of the mural was also pretty nice. There's an oddly shaped person... and a guy dressed in swimming clothes next to a pegasus.

P1090371.JPG

I didn't find the pegasus detailed enough to warrant a close up shot, but here's a better view of both characters. I liked these two...

I hope you enjoyed these murals. They're not marvelous pieces of art but I think they are cute enough! 😎

No, I haven't. Earlier this morning, I thought of giving it a try in my vicinity. I hope one day I will give it a try.

Beautiful graffiti, some murals are so realistic.. The pegasus looks funny, kind of looking like a pony of the fairy tale...

Yeah, the first one was the best. The other wall appear to be more amateur in style. Thanks for the visit.

I really love those first ones but am not that much fan of those last ones they are a bit childish to me :)

I thought the same. They must have been painted by an apprentice. 🤣

It was nice to see these. It seems that the Graffiti scene is only giving its first steps in Slovakia.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wow cool. Love the peacock and camel. Looks like someone's spent time in India ;) Some really great artwork. Impressive. Elephant snails? Hey why not? Art knows no boundaries!

My pleasure. I used to live in Poland but didn't have a chance to go to Slovakia although I was in Cech Republic. I have a good friend that is living there though...
