Trendy Town Yarraville

It always amazes me how beautiful the little suburb Yarraville looks when I see it through the window of the train every time I pass by the town. When I saw the name Yarraville, I immediately visualize the name of the quaint riverbank village. Lol, sounds lovely and romantic. Yarraville is another vibrant town in the western suburb of Melbourne full of character and charm. It sits between Spotswood and Kensington and like other was once an industrial / blue collar type working town. It's no wonder that Yarraville is trendy and attractive because of its lovely buildings, tree-lined streets, and peaceful atmosphere.

With its close proximity to the city centre and an abundance of public transport options, it's easy to get here by train, bus or car. The station has been an important part of Yarraville's history and culture since it opened in 1871. It connects to all major points in Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs, making it an ideal point of access for travelers.

The city center is within walking distance of the train station, and there are many thriving restaurants and coffee shops along the main street. This corner is one of the most beautiful and inspiring places in town. It is a delight for the eyes when you enter this corner as it is filled with lush green trees that provide a cooling shade to any passersby. It's also an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the coffee while having a great catchup with friends :)

There are unique old buildings made of blue stone, which have been standing for centuries. As I've visited around the western suburb, I've seen many other towns with similar structures that have stood the test of time, and how well the locals maintain them till today.

Yarraville Town is home to the historic Sun Theater, a single-screen movie house that has been entertaining locals and visitors alike since the 1938. This charming venue holds a special place in the hearts of many Australians, who have been visiting it for generations. Not only does the theater screen new Hollywood blockbusters, but also classic films from yesteryear.

The main street in the center of town was once the home of traffic is now close permanently to promote people walking for local cafes and the theatre alive. The business take advantage of this space allowing customer to wine or dine or simply sit while admiring the culture and atmosphere of the area.

The town seemed quieter than usual, however; I really enjoyed it and couldn't help but wander through the streets, taking it all in.

We plan to return here next week for a movie, and I can't wait to explore one of the most beloved movie theaters in Melbourne. Well, I'm sure there is still so much more to explore around Yarraville, plus this is also a doggo friendly area, so we'd like to take Jet with us sometimes :)

It was a nice day and we had a a relaxing afternoon stroll around Yarraville. It's small yet charming town and definitely worth visiting. :)

Thanks for reading the post and hope you enjoy it :)

Until next time ❤️

Definitely, the lush trees make the city relaxing, also they provide shade for the customers. The buildings that survived through centuries are the gems of the city. So cool! Thanks for sharing this!

Explanation time.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I was surrounded by the best Mexican food. Even Mexicans will tell you the best Mexican food is in Southern California. In the US, quality Mexican cuisine on the east coast is limited.

So if I can't get ot in Florida or New York, no way in Australia!

Living the life, lady! What a great set of shots of a beautiful little town. I'm really looking forward to your post about the cinema as I absolutely adore traditional cinemas and their design and architecture. Many years ago I was a member of a preservation society that helped save an old place in Leeds.

Happy New Year. Take care, stay healthy and most importantly, stay happy :-)

Good on you for helping preserve an old gem as nowadays not many people will it. I'll definitely go to the cinema and follow up its architecture and will keep you updated as I too find these old buildings fascinating. :)

Thanks Nathen and best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year to you :)
