War is war, but repairs are according to plan

-Biscuit Seal, wake up!
-Not!

Hi, my dear friends!

The weather has changed dramatically. This morning, when I left the house, instead of soft, almost spring warmth, I was greeted by a vile cold rain.

It is not surprising that the dogs categorically refused to wake up. I also tried to get back to the house as quickly as possible. After all, I'm not a duck to love water too much.

It was very warm in the house, because I stoked the stove all night. Strange activity for the night? Not at all. I had a good reason. The fact is that a week ago I bought hatching eggs of charming black hens. The temperature in the incubator must be constant, otherwise the embryos will die. Now that fascist russia has destroyed a significant part of our infrastructure, we are left without electricity from time to time. In general, we treat this philosophically. We already lived without electricity for two months in March and April during the occupation, so this does not scare us.

Usually there is no electricity during the day or in the evening and then I use a generator. But that night, the electricity went out at one in the morning. I immediately switched the incubator to an uninterruptible power supply from my computer. But that was enough for an hour.

During this hour, I lit a fire in the stove and moved the terrarium to it so that it warmed up inside and I laid the eggs there. So I "entertained" until three in the morning, when electricity appeared and I was able to reconnect the incubator to the mains. Hmm... this could be a problem... I should think about a more powerful backup power source, at least for the incubator.

These eggs are a slightly odd bluish color. I really hope that my chickens will survive.

Despite everything, we continue to do repairs. Now we have the most difficult and expensive stage - the kitchen. Expensive because I have to buy a gas stove and a sink. We do all the work with our own hands and this significantly saves finances.

My house has a slightly strange layout. It wasn't my idea, so we bought it. Therefore, you go to the kunya immediately from the street ... I made a small entrance hall, but anyway, to get into the house, you need to go through the kitchen ...

When we ripped off the stupid plastic lining from the walls, everything looked so terrible ... A lot of work! But that doesn't scare us.

I took the photo below today. We decided to make a small arch to make room for Romashka. Here, no one will disturb her.

Drywall! It was definitely invented by some building genius! The use of this relatively cheap and durable material makes it possible to realize even the wildest renovation fantasies.

Around the arch - bricks. No, not real, just stucco and a small wooden mold that my friend made especially for this.

Someone must supervise construction work. Biscuit Seal and MooreMeow took on this difficult task 😁

Good night friends! I hope that no bomb of fascist russia will fly into my house tonight and cause trouble for me! I really don't want to start over!

Same here, it has been cooler. Perhaps, Seal didn't want to wake up for this reason 😁

Seasons change and winter soon will be here. I hope you will have the energy and warmth so that soon the little hens will slip out there healthy!
How about cover the construction with a blanket to keep them warm?

Love the two, Biscuit Seal and MooreMeow, sitting on the chair.
Great made 🤩, great that such a relatively cheap and durable material exists.
Please, please none and never a bomb 🙏
