Wednesday Walk - I'm back

avatar

Hello friends, I haven't been able to post in this community for a while. I'm back! Earlier, even about a month ago, I was walking 2.5 hours a day. I took a break from this. The fact that I entered a busy period and went out of town was effective in this. Actually, I think these are excuses. A person can always walk every day, as long as he is healthy. If one wants a healthy life, this is a must to have a good structure both spiritually and physically.

Buna ara verdim.

Some people love September very much, but I do not like September very much because it is the beginning of cold weather and the harbinger of winter. With the cold weather, negative changes begin in my mood. This affects me more, especially since the winter season lasts so long where I live. I know I can overcome this with exercise. But it's not easy to have the motivation to exercise in the winter months. This is quite difficult. I mostly prefer to walk when going somewhere. This post is about that too!

I left the house to go to the market center. I extended my path to walk further. I increased my journey from 15 minutes to 25 minutes. Of course, there is also a return on this. If we count the return trip as 25 minutes and also my walks in the market centre, I walked for more than an hour. To be honest, 1 hour walking is not enough for me.

The city is full of historical places. The building in the image is a madrasah and is among the most important madrasahs of its period. I am thinking of publishing a post about this madrasa in the coming days.

We don't have winter season here in Philippines but the wet season already started. Time to time we experienced rain.

Rain just stopped and it gives us a cold weather.

I'm sorry to know that cold weather changes your mood, dear friend @tht, although as you say, you can overcome it with exercise, cold days don't make you want to get out of bed, much less if it's to go for a walk.
I appreciate you sharing this walk through the streets of the city
Have a beautiful morning

Thank you for your kind words and wishes. My happiness hormone levels are also very low. However, it returns to normal levels with exercise. It drops much more in cold weather anyway. I figured this out 6, 7 years ago. Before, I thought it was this way and I would never change it again, but it wasn't like that.

It looks like you have a lovely place to walk and wonder about life as you do- especially with all of that history that surrounds you.

I imagine that there wouldn't be a moment where there is not something intriguing to think about there- even if it is coming into your winter, just imagine the millions of other people walking those same paths as you hundreds of years earlier with no modern warm winter clothes....brrrr...and although I can relate, because I myself HATE HATE HATE winter, I actually can't relate too much because our winters in Australia are no where near as cold as those in most other parts of the world...

So I empathise with you but can only say Hive on and Wednesdaywalk it off! 🤣

Thank you very much for this beautiful, sincere and sincere message. As I read, I smiled and thought about some things. I know when the winter season in Australia starts because of the football season. It's usually rainy and the field is full of seagulls :)

Merhaba.
I wish I could be there to walk those paths with you.

Preferably in the Spring/Summer/Autumn, but then again, to have an amazing adventure, I would even brave the winter snow and ice!

Yes our football season is ending- atleast it is here in Melbourne as this weekend is a long weekend due to the Footy grand final, but that is not soccer it's a totally different type of football.

We've got many types of football that is played over here, but I'm not a fan of any of them, except soccer though I don't watch it, I used to play it when I was younger and still do sometimes here...Though it hurts much more afterwards than it used too...🤣🤣😅😥

I think that you're in Turkey, but I'm not sure where.

I haven't been there yet, but am totally obsessed with Turkey and devour all the Turkish DeSizis and just recently finished watching Midnight at the Pera Palace and was so tickled pink to discover that so much of the series is based on a real place and real historical characters and events! 😱

My 2 other absolute favourite Desizis are Atiye- the Gift and The Protector!
Love Love LOVE them!

Anyway, Gule Gule 😊

If you want to come here one day, come. We can walk wherever you want.
Australian women are very good at football, as they are at so many other things.
Yes, I live in Turkey. I am in the easternmost part of Turkey, 200-250 km away from Iran.

I can't say that I watch local TV series much, but I like that you like them.

If you want to come here one day, I can host you.

Merhaba!
Shukran

I will definitely take you up on that offer one day to walk around Turkye!

And likewise, if you ever come to Australia please let me know and I would love to be your host and tour guide too!

Ok so maybe you don't like to watch your local series (they can be a bit too soapy...) but please do your self and favour and watch Midnight at the Pera Palace, if not for the entertainment, then atleast for the history...

Gule Gule. 😊

Thanks very much for your offer. It is difficult for me to go to Australia due to diplomatic and visa problems. Even any country in Europe is difficult. I wish all the borders in the world were removed and everyone was connected to a single country. Even if there were no states, everyone lived individually.

It is easy for you to come to Turkey. You can come very comfortably.

I will watch the series you suggested, it already consists of 8 episodes, but that won't happen anytime soon.

Such a shame that you have so much trouble trying to leave Turkiye!

One day I will come, but I will have to save up lots and LOTS of money...it's very expensive or us to fly there and then to convert the AUD into Euro's and lose money and I live in a very expensive city in a very expensive country...

And I agree, shouldn't we be patriotic to our fellow human beings- where ever they are from, than our governments that just lie to us, rip us off and keep us poor while they line their own pockets and get away with murder...
