Hi there! Please find my 5-minute Freewrite below. The prompt "good preacher" made me think of two friends on their way to a rock concert, but they didn't get very far before the 5 minute buzzer rang. This was so much fun. Thank you for the initiative.
We drove fast on the road heading west, fields of corn rushing by on both sides.
“Do you think we’ll make it in time?” My friend Gabe asked. I put the pedal to the metal, the wind rushed through our hair.
“We’ll make it.” I smiled. And he smiled back. The show started at six. We should make it right on time.
“It’s going to be good.”
“I’m excited.”
Then, in front of me, I saw one. I slammed on the brakes. The car spun out of control, we flipped over, and the airbags exploded in our faces, probably saving us. I looked over at Gabe.
“You ok.”
“I think so.”
Then I heard it, a garbled gargling language, and saw their green feet.
