Black Mesa - Monsters, adventure, and more difficulty ahead?
English version below
Realmente he subestimado este juego.
Algunos escenarios me recuerdan ligeramente a Portal.

Hey there!
I had completely forgotten about this game, I think the last time I played it was 2 months ago haha. A couple of days ago I was browsing through my PC's game gallery and discovered that it was still there, so I decided to continue with this little adventure inside Black Mesa.
I have really underestimated this game. So far it has been perfect in terms of the visual aspect and also all the audio resources (although I must admit that I'm completely in love with the graphics).
My game started in this part of the map. I was completely lost for a few minutes because I couldn't remember ANYTHING I had done before, so I was wandering around until my brain remembered what to do.
After going down this sort of giant elevator (which looks pretty unnecessary) and getting smashed by a bunch of crabs, I went over to one of the more classic life regenerators that basically anyone can recognize, albeit in an HD version.
I think I've progressed pretty quickly up to this point. I've had slight flashbacks to when I played Half Life story mode many years ago, and I've also been able to progress through many parts thanks to the advice of @rishahp (who is the most knowledgeable person about Half Life that I know).
Apparently I still have a lot of monsters to discover, like this kind of... I have no idea how I can define it. I only know that it spits some kind of acid and does some damage to me, plus it also resists quite a bit, bruh.
It's quite nice, isn't it?
One thing I noticed is that the water is slightly strange, I feel like it's just an invisible layer that you notice it's water only when you get inside. Although in some parts you can see the reflection of the environment's illuminations, and this is when I reiterate: The illuminations in this game are VERY well done, too much to be honest.
This is something that surprises me a lot since there are many games where the lighting is not so amazing, but they give the impression of being much more demanding in terms of computer requirements.
Some scenarios remind me slightly of Portal. Now that I know that both games are set in the same universe, I can't help but think that at some point I'll find a reference to Portal's company (Aperture Science).
One thing that is a negative in this game is the textures. Some textures are obviously quite laggy and take away that "modern" game feel. As a "remake" that it is (this time I hope the term is right @rishahp) I expected the textures to be somewhat better worked, as it feels quite uncomfortable to see how some textures completely destroy the ambience. Just look at this:
It doesn't look good enough, you can't even tell what it is....
By this I don't mean to say that this game is bad, nor is it close to being bad. It really is being a masterpiece and gives a beautiful representation to Half Life, I only name something quite small but noticeable, but this doesn't detract from all the amazing work behind it.
Changing the subject: Look at this change of scenery. I literally didn't have to take a single step, just turn the camera.
Something I found very curious is that there is a small reference to Siren Head in a part of Half Life. I'm absolutely sure that the Siren Head sounds come out of this radio:
I don't know if this sound is in Half Life 1, but I found it quite interesting that they integrated this sound in this game that has nothing to do with that creepypasta... or is it? Nobody knows.
Remember in my previous post I mentioned that something I really, really liked about Black Mesa is its shadows? Just look at this:
There have been many other things that have happened in all this adventure. I even made a couple of friends (which unfortunately didn't have a very good ending), but that's something I will tell in my next post about my adventure inside Black Mesa.
Thank you very much for reading all this, and please leave a comment if you did, see you in the next one!
Freeman was here!
You know it!
I never gave this a try even though I really loved Half-Life. Should probably play through it when I get a chance.
That would be amazing duude, I'd watch it for sure.
Mejor es White Mesa
Salió payasito el muchacho
HILARANTE
Carajo Oldfool, ¿cómo no has jugado HL?
