Celebrating Independence day is such a great holiday and being without fireworks is a no, no.

Some of the prices of the different packages are off of the chart and spending that kind of cash is not the way we roll. Usually our daughter, who lives in Pennsylvania where fireworks are legal, will purchase the works and then we will all chip in.

Those smoke bombs are harmless and the grandkids love them. Along with the sparklers that they can play with it makes for a winning combo.

Robin's parents enjoyed many a progressive dinner with some of their really good friends. Jumping from one house to the next while enjoying everything from cocktails to desert was something that they really seemed to enjoy.

How can one have Independence Day without them? Unheard of!

Do you think some of the prices are off the charts? Yes!!! One of the reasons I showed the prices! Hello, no! We didn't buy them there either. Pennsylvania is close to the Washington, DC Metro area. Then everyone chips in. Yes. It makes for a great festival of fun!

As soon as you put that in about the smoke bombs, I had visions of them as a kid. They were fun and I remember that I kept waiting for them to explode! What kid doesn't love sparklers, right?

The progressive dinners are really popular with military families when they are far and away from family, especially overseas. Some people love them, but, many more don't. I loved introducing them to a government neighborhood. 70% are government workers of some sort. These dinners were part of most of their lives. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! And thanks for the info on smoke bombs @thebigsweed !!

#MarketFriday love you!
