Hoy me siento mejor del dolor de cabeza y quiero compartir algo derivado de la experiencia de ese primer ensayo, mientras me preparaba para dormir pensé que hay aspectos del Cosplay desconocidos para el público o personas que no están en el mundo de los eventos manganime o convenciones.

Today I feel better from the headache and I want to share something derived from the experience of that first rehearsal, while I was getting ready to sleep I thought there are aspects of Cosplay unknown to the public or people who are not in the world of manganime events or conventions.

Últimamente pienso mucho en el pasado y en mis inicios como Cosplayer, pienso en que quiero comenzar a reconsiderar las cosas que conozco y valorar el proceso desde cero para poder disfrutarlo apropiadamente, sin esa incertidumbre que te generan los procesos desconocidos, el temor de dañar algo, de hacer mal uso de un material costoso o incluso lastimarte a ti mismo por inexperiencia.

Lately I think a lot about the past and my beginnings as a cosplayer, I think that I want to start reconsidering the things I know and value the process from scratch to enjoy it properly, without that uncertainty generated by unknown processes, the fear of damaging something, misusing an expensive material or even hurting yourself for inexperience.

¡Ahora para cumplir la promesa del título vamos a empezar por el básico!: Todos utilizamos skincare y el mío actualmente es bastante puntual, me han recomendado serums y tratamientos específicos pero me encuentro bastante cómoda con 2 exfoliantes (uno suave y otro mas profundo) y 2 cremas humectantes (una de aclarado natural y la otra la favorita de muchas de Pond´s). Me falta un bloqueador solar pero no he encontrado uno que me guste hasta ahora (y me doy cuenta que olvidé tomarle fotos a mis bálsamos labiales y el agua de rosas).

Now to keep the promise of the title let's start with the basics!: We all use skincare and mine is currently pretty spot on, I've been recommended serums and specific treatments but I'm pretty comfortable with 2 exfoliators (one gentle and one deeper) and 2 moisturizers (one natural rinse-off and the other the favorite of many from Pond's). I'm missing a sunscreen but haven't found one I like so far (and I realize I forgot to take pictures of my lip balms and rose water).

¡Primer y bases!, cuando interpretas personajes de distintos colores de cabello la base de maquillaje cobra nueva importancia, necesitas de distintos tonos y tipos aunque mis favoritas son las mate. No soy muy fans de la tendencia de "rostro húmedo".

Primer and foundation! When you play characters with different hair colors, foundation takes on new importance, you need different shades and types although my favorites are the matte ones. I'm not a big fan of the "dewy face" trend.

Polvos para contorno, paletas de colores e iluminadores son muy necesarios, casi todos los Cosplayers aunque sea sutilmente perfilamos nuestros rostros, especialmente la nariz, la mandibula y los ojos.

Contouring powders, color palettes and highlighters are very necessary, almost all cosplayers even if only subtly outline our faces, especially the nose, jaw and eyes.

¡Pestañas postizas en cantidad!, las pestañas postizas son un INDISPENSABLE porque te ayudan a "abrir la mirada", existen muchos diseños y calidades diferentes. A mi me gusta tener pestañas de alta calidad, media calidad y baja calidad porque a veces hay que cortarlas mientras experimentas para descubrir cuáles funcionan para un determinado personaje, y pueden ser costosas como para sacrificar las mejores durante los CosTest.

False eyelashes in quantity! False eyelashes are a MUST because they help you "open up your look, there are many different designs and qualities. I like to have high quality, medium quality and low quality lashes because sometimes you have to cut them while experimenting to find out which ones work for a certain character, and they can be expensive enough to sacrifice the best ones during CosTests.

Productos para los ojos, cejas y pestañas; delineadores líquidos tipo pincel y plumón, delineadores en lápiz de diferentes colores, polvo para las cejas, máscara de pestañas superiores e inferiores, primer liquido, y por supuesto que pegamento en barra para redibujar o ocultar las cejas, una buena alternativa para no afeitarlas.

Products for the eyes, eyebrows and eyelashes; liquid eyeliners brush and pencil eyeliners in different colors, eyebrow powder, upper and lower mascara, liquid primer, and of course glue stick to redraw or hide the eyebrows, a good alternative to shaving them.

¡Y tinta para los labios!, mi item favorito actualmente porque me sirve tanto para personajes masculinos como femeninos, al permitirme controlar la intensidad del pigmento, además que es de larga duración (oh, y algunos pares de lentes de contacto nuevos).

And lip tint!, my current favorite item because it works for both male and female characters, allowing me to control the intensity of the pigment, plus it's long lasting (oh, and a few pairs of new contact lenses).

Polvo compacto, el de toda la vida pero vegano, es el que mejor resultado me ha dado hasta ahora aunque estos ya están por terminarse. Un espejo mediano y polvo traslucido para sellar o retocar el maquillaje a lo largo del dia. La tendencia actual es no utilizar polvo comparto y sellar todo con polvos traslucidos, depende la ocasión utilizo un método u otro.

Powder compact, the one I've always used but vegan, it's the one that has given me the best results so far, although these are about to run out. A medium mirror and translucent powder to seal or touch up makeup throughout the day. The current trend is not to use shared powder and seal everything with translucent powder, depending on the occasion I use one method or another.

Apliques para el rostro, que aún no he utilizado pero he coleccionado con el tiempo. Sirven para personajes mitológicos o mágicos, fantasiosos. Perlas, escarcha, mini lentejuelas, guardo estos sets para futuros proyectos de Monster High.

Face Appliques, which I have not yet used but have collected over time. They work for mythological or magical, fantasy characters. Pearls, glitter, mini sequins, I keep these sets for future "Monster High" projects.

¡Distintos sets de brochas!, ok las mías están sucias porque esto fue a la mañana siguiente de las fotos de LianLian, y es un conjunto de brochas muy básicas y económicas pero funcionan bien. Pienso esperar a tomar un buen curso de maquillaje antes de comprar un set profesional.

Different brush sets, ok mine are dirty because this was the morning after **LianLian's photos, and it's a very basic and inexpensive set of brushes but they work well. I plan to wait to take a good makeup course before buying a professional set.

De la parte superior izquierda a la derecha: ¡Múltiples items para preparar el rostro y el cabello!, ganchos para mantener el peinado de la peluca mientras la manipulas, ganchillos pequeños para sujetar la peluca entre la redecilla y tu cabello, una banda de silicona anti resbalante para prevenir que la peluca se mueva de su lugar o se te caiga por accidente (este item es la gloria para las presentaciones), peines de distintos tipos y tamaños para estilizar cabello, cinta adhesiva quirúrgica para preparar el rostro o dar un extra de seguridad a la preparación del cráneo para la peluca.

From top left to right: Multiple items to prepare the face and hair! Hooks to keep the wig styled while you manipulate it, small hooks to hold the wig between the hairnet and your hair, an anti-slip silicone band to prevent the wig from moving out of place or falling off by accident (this item is the glory for presentations), combs of different types and sizes for styling hair, surgical tape to prepare the face or give extra security to the preparation of the head for the wig.

Cuando ya estaba guardando todo me di cuenta que olvide otros indispensables que no vi porque cayeron entre las cobijas jajaja, el siempre querido y necesario sellador de maquillaje en spray. He tenido muy buenos resultados con esta marca. Y caramelos, siempre guardo caramelos en la caja de maquillaje para Cosplay o mi bolso, dulces por si hay una baja de energía y de jengibre por si comienza un dolor de garganta o la perdida de voz.

When I was already putting everything away I realized I forgot other indispensables that I didn't see because they fell between the blankets hahaha, the always wanted and needed spray makeup sealer. I have had very good results with this brand. And candy, I always keep candy in the cosplay makeup box or my purse, sweets in case there is a drop in energy and ginger candy in case a sore throat or loss of voice starts.

¡Desmaquillante y tónico facial astringente!, de este tipo utilizo en gran cantidad para disolver el maquillaje sin frotarme demasiado la cara porque me lastima, y luego para refrescarme utilizo en cantidad moderada el tónico. Las formulas de Farmatodo han resultado bien hasta ahora, aunque mi desmaquillante favorito se acabo hace poco y es este.

Makeup remover and astringent facial toner! Of this type I use in large amounts to dissolve makeup without rubbing my face too much because it hurts, and then to freshen up I use a moderate amount of the toner. The Farmatodo formulas have worked well so far, although my favorite make-up remover recently ran out and this is it.
