Last week I shared in a series of post the journey that was reaching the goal of my new sewing machine; after sharing my situation via Instagram, amazing big-hearted people helped me with encouraging messages, quote referrals and money donations through different platforms 💰 💖 ✅
También hablé sobre que, para reunir fondos, cosí a mano distintos modelos de "headdress lolita" para la venta, pero no mostré las correspondientes fotos de todos los modelos que hice.
I also talked about that, to raise funds, I hand-sewed different models of "headdress lolita" for sale, but I didn't show the corresponding photos of all the models I made.

Esos fueron días muy animados y estaba llena de optimismo gracias a todas las personas que me escribían al privado, pero también debido al "agite" de esos días, termine borrando sin querer muchas de las fotos originales o collages de los catálogos que hice para el público en ese momento 🥲
Those were very lively days and I was full of optimism thanks to all the people who wrote to me privately, but also due to the "agitation" of those days, I ended up unintentionally deleting many of the original photos or collages from the catalogs I made for the public at the time 🥲

Estas fotos fueron lo que pude salvar de mi celular y un pendrive de refuerzo que uso de vez en cuando. De verdad tenía muchas ganas de mostrar esto aquí porque, aunque no guarde fotos del proceso de elaboración, estoy orgullosa de mis creaciones, no soy perfecta, pero hace mucho tiempo que no me daba el gusto de elaborar piezas de este estilo, y aunque no he hablado apropiadamente de eso por aquí, soy una gran fan de la cultura lolita (aunque nunca he tenido la dicha de vestirme como una).
These photos were what I could save from my cell phone and a backup flash drive that I use from time to time. I really wanted to show this here because, although I don't keep pictures of the making process, I'm proud of my creations, I'm not perfect, but it's been a long time since I've indulged in making pieces in this style, and although I haven't properly talked about it around here, I'm a big fan of lolita culture (although I've never had the joy of dressing like one).
✦ I based this model on the new anime version of Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon Crystal, that's why I used crystal organza and not solid fabric for the edges ✦
Para exhibir mis cofias contaba con 3 opciones: Una cabeza de poliestireno genérica para pelucas, una cabeza porta peluca genérica que es la que pueden apreciar en las fotos, y yo misma (?) al final me quede con las últimas dos opciones y utilicé como fondo para las fotografías distintas áreas de mi cuarto de costura.
I had 3 options for displaying my headwraps: A generic polystyrene wig head, a generic wig head which is the one you can see in the pictures, and myself (?) in the end I went with the last two options and used different areas of my sewing room as background for the pictures.
✦ For this design, which was the first in pastel colors of the series, I based it on a super soft white and pastel pink Card Captor Sakura artwork with golden stars ✦
Las fotos las tome con luz natural de final de la tarde, y cada modelo de "headdress" lo coloque en 4 modelos de pelucas diferentes para que el público pudiera apreciar como lucen en distintos tipos de color de cabello (oscuro, rubio, rosa, en corte de cabello corto y en cabello muy largo, liso y ondulado).
The photos were taken in natural late afternoon light, and each "headdress" model was placed in 4 different wig models so that the public could appreciate how they look in different types of hair color (dark, blonde, pink, short haircuts and very long, straight and wavy hair).
✦ Of all of them I think this is the second most elegant, and it has a beautiful detail which are those moon charms (they are gold plated) ✦
Cada modelo es de mi creación, y si bien busqué inspiración en muchas imágenes que se consiguen en pinterest, cada diseño lo resolví con lo que tenía en casa: Los materiales utilizados fueron telas, cintas y apliques restantes de proyectos de Cosplay pasados o en vías de confección, pero todo de una calidad muy buena (me gustan las telas caras ; u ; es una bendición y una maldición a la vez).
Each model is of my creation, and while I looked for inspiration in many images you get on pinterest, each design I solved with what I had at home: The materials used were fabrics, ribbons and appliques left over from past or in the making Cosplay projects, but all of a very good quality (I like expensive fabrics ; u ; it's a blessing and a curse at the same time).
✦ Although ruffled lace is very pretty, I admit that my favorite is the look of pleats on solid fabrics ✦
También, la idea original se basó en que cada pieza estuviera inspirada en personajes de Anime y de Sanrio, ya que mi publico target son personas Otaku, Gamer y Geeks. Para esta primera colección utilice a Cinnamon Roll, Kuromi, Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura y algunos personajes femeninos de Junji Ito.
Also, the original idea was based on each piece being inspired by Anime and Sanrio characters, since my target audience are Otaku, Gamer and Geeks. For this first collection I used Cinnamon Roll, Kuromi, Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura and some female characters from Junji Ito.

Durante esos días recordé lo mucho que me gustaban los mesones de las tiendas de las convenciones de 2009 y hasta 2011 que tenían estas piezas para la venta, compré muchas, pero siempre terminaba regalándolas a mis amigas como obsequio cuando regresaba de mis viajes por el país (en esos años empecé a viajar a convenciones manganime de otros estados, tenía entre 19 y 20 años recién cumplidos).
During those days I remembered how much I liked the tables of the stores of the conventions of 2009 and even 2011 that had these pieces for sale, I bought many, but I always ended up giving them to my friends as gifts when I returned from my trips around the country (in those years I started to travel to manganime conventions in other states, I was between 19 and 20 years old just turned).
✦ And I understand why, dangling pearls with a good and delicate chain always achieves a plus of charm ✦
Al final, aunque no vistas un conjunto full lolita, estos items son un complemento muy hermoso para tu vestimenta, sobre todo cuando quieres asistir a un evento y sacamos toda esa ropa hyper específica de nuestros armarios. Las cofias lolita acentúan mucho el rostro y quedan bien con cualquier estilo y color de cabello, por eso de entre todas las cosas que podía elaborar, escogí este proyecto.
In the end, even if you don't wear a full lolita outfit, these items are a beautiful complement to your outfit, especially when you want to attend an event and we take all those hyper specific clothes out of our closets. The lolita coifs accentuate the face a lot and look good with any style and hair color, that's why out of all the things I could make, I chose this project.

Los modelos favoritos del público fueron los de color oscuro, y el modelo más claro en tonos pastel y perla. Por supuesto cada diseño es hecho muy a mi gusto y esperaba que no fuera demasiado específico como para no gustarle a los demás, es difícil ser objetivo cuando produces cosas destinadas a la venta.
The public's favorite models were the dark colored ones, and the lighter model in pastel and pearl tones. Of course each design is made very much to my taste and I hoped it would not be too specific that others would not like it, it is hard to be objective when you produce things intended for sale.
✦ I almost kept this model, but when we reached the goal for the new sewing machine, the unsold designs I gave away at the last convention I attended in March of this year, as a gesture of affection for the fans ✦
Algo que puedo resaltar de este experimento es que no basta solo hacer un producto bueno, bonito y económico, ¡la promoción es muy importante!, y es algo en lo que debo trabajar, porque muchas personas se enteraron tarde de esto y llegaron a escribirme cuando ya todas se habían acabado. Me hubiera gustado hacer muchas más para la fecha, pero no soy muy rápida cosiendo a mano.
One thing I can highlight from this experiment is that it is not enough just to make a good, beautiful and economical product, promotion is very important, and it is something I have to work on, because many people found out about this late and came to write me when they had already run out. I would have liked to make many more for the date, but I'm not very fast at hand sewing.
✦ I would like to have a small formal store by the end of this year and beginning of 2024, I don't know yet what list of things I will sell but one of them will be more headresses of different styles. Ideas and suggestions are very welcome! ✦
Aquí llegamos al final de este capítulo. Éste fue mi primer e improvisado catálogo de "headdres lolita" hechas a mano para reunir fondos con motivos Cosplayeriles. Cada pieza que vez aquí esta con su respectivo nuevo dueño y espero les haya hecho sentirse hermosxs y especiales. Un detalle técnico extra es que tuvieron un costo de 6$ cada una y eran unitalla 🤌 💵 💞
Here we come to the end of this chapter. This was my first and improvised catalog of "headdres lolita" handmade to raise funds with Cosplayeriles motifs. Each piece you see here is with its respective new owner and I hope it made you feel beautiful and special.
