Cracking 𝕏 Episode 11 Welcome 2024

Hello Hello Hivians Lions and Xters!

It is Thursday and that means that it is time for one of my designated 𝕏 reports.

𝕏 as in what was formerly known as Twitter.

Today is the first Thursday of the New Year!

Did you know 2024 was a leap year?

Well now you do, and then means we have another day this year to earn rewards from our favourite crypto!

Web2 they aren't your accounts, when will people learn!

It seems each week I have been telling you about someone that has been banned or lost their web2 account.

We have had X bans, YouTube strikes, and an instagram ban, and even a TikTok ban!

This week I heard that X have been again with banning people again, allegedly only spammers and bot accounts.

Do you know of anyone who bit the dust?

Well people, build your brand on web3 if you are going to brand yourself on social media!

One of the great things about the Zealy Hive Marketing campaign was that people were connecting and promoting Hive and getting new eyes on Hive!

I still see a concerted effort from so many people getting the Hive name known on X and other web2 media. I think we still need that.

People don't know about Hive, or any of the dApps so it is upto us to tell them.

People are not just going to turn up in their droves to Hive. Our token does not move enough to make them do that!

IT IS WORKING .... We are onboarding influencers and more users.

And it is not just about getting more people to Hive, it is also about rewarding Hivians who do spread the word.

Hive changes lives ... It's a FACT

Today I was reading this A Step Closer post from @beeeee who is a relatively new Hivian but is bursting with enthusiasm for our chain.

She did well in the Zealy campaign and had been wanting to get a new laptop as she was going to change career path and set about ...

going into the tech world and starting my journey in UI/UX

But panic .. no laptop and not enough money (she is in Nigeria where the economy well enough said ...)

At first, hearing the amount I thought it would take a long time to raise that from writing but thank Goodness I participated in the last Zealy campaign which helped me a lot and I was able to complete the amount and finally got my laptop.

Bam the proof is in the pudding, or is it the laptop. The happy Hivian picked it up today (yes that is her picture and I have permission to share it with you all)

My challenge to myself for 2024 ... Start to track users I bring to Hive!

You would have perhaps guessed by the title that this post is about X (formerly Twitter).

This is the tenth episode that I have been showing my stats. I shall be reporting my findings and progress.

My goals for X are twofold:

• 1 Become monetized

• 2 Spread the Hive word and onboard users

So I have been slowly removing users I have been following that either don't engage or we are not aligned. It is getting a bit more aggresive now. I have my the list open in a tab and going hrough them one by one. I found at the end of my list, users I was following from ten years ago who don't don't post for years!

My followers count increased by 14, actually it was more, because X are still suspending accounts left right and centre, and those get removed from your following.

To become monetized you need to do these 3 things:

✔️ Subscribe to Premium or Verified Organizations

❌ Have at least 5M impressions on your posts within the last 3 months

✔️ 500 followers

I have the easy bits sorted lol!

My analytics for the last 7 days

and the week before that...

I almost doubled impressions!

You can see it's a mixture of red and green this week, pretty much like the crypto markets lol!

My impressions are up, definitely because I watched a couple of footy matches and made comments!

Actually it has been fun meeting more Hivians on web2 and then building connections with them on Hive!

I also have been more active with the cosmos community and fore UMA and across protocols communities. They are some of the targets to come and join us on Hive.

I seemed to have met more Latam users this way!

Did you know that there are over 30 ways your account can be limited?

I have fallen foul of one of them, although I am not sure of which.

Let's have a look at my impressions...

Note it says 5M impressions on your posts within the last 3 months

And from last week

So I have 3.3 million (last week was 3.2 million) impressions for the last three months. Oh fluff me, I am well short lol

Although my numbers are going up, I am running out of time, as the massive impressions I got at the start of the journey are going to fall off the rolling chart.

However, slowly I seem to be getting some of My reach back, some of my impressions from my comments are hitting the big numbers again.

Two comments I made on New Year's Day, one bring in 105k views and the other 22k!

With January being football transfer month, there is gossip galore and I will comment like a madman and see if I can hit that 5 millions impressions by the end of the month, so I can really focus on spreading the Hive gospel!

I have had my account limited in someway, I don't know how or what but NO Surrender ....

I am determined to persevere...

I had a purple patch where I could comment and get thousands of impressions, that is keeping my totals up. I will get that back!
The football transfer month of January will help me hit my goal!

Some of the Spaces had led to connections. Getting them to Hive however is not always easy!

In the meantime I shall be aiming to follow some X strategies we have devised with some other members of INLEO. Can people work as a team? We shall find out!
