Took Another Route For Our Wednesday Morning Walk... :)

Last week, I decided to take part in Wednesday Walk program here on HIVE. I believe it's a great motivation for me to wake up earlier than usual and go for a walk every Wednesday. Good thing, I'm also able to do it this week. :)

I'm mostly at my desk when I work, so I really need to move more. Although I also do some stretches and exercise at home, it's also nice to have a change of scenery and head out. But as I've mentioned in my previous post, my country is too hot even though it's the rainy season, so going out early in the morning would be the best.

Our route this time is from our house going to the city hall and back home. Despite wanting to see the sunrise from the beach, I wanted to take a much longer route today. :)

Instead of going right, he headed straight this road. Since it's still early, the highway would still be quiet.

My city has been evolving the past years, so there are more establishments like this. They're mostly shops and restaurants. They're still closed at that time, though. :)

Students are already back to school, so we sometimes met some students whose class starts at six in the morning in our walk earlier today. :)

This road leads us to Cebu City, the main city in our island. We're going the opposite way, though.

Just a couple minutes away from the previous intersection, you can see the new hospital building. It's nice to see a lot of development in our city. Our local government is working on a lot of projects the past few years.

Cycling is becoming more and more common, so you can see some bike lanes in some areas. Though they're not yet available everywhere, this is quite a good start. Ohh... I just love empty roads!!!

I saw this cutie on the side of the road. When I greeted it, it looked my way... purrfect shot! <3

In front of our city hall is the plaza where people usually jog or just enjoy and chill. Next to the plaza are under construction. On one side, they're building a gym or an event hall and on the other side, they're going to build a huge playground and a skatepark. I can't wait to visit it once they're done. :)

On our way home, we passed by my high school. I studied here for only one and a half years since I was a transfer student from the countryside.

We also passed by this beautiful church. They recently renovated it and it's really gorgeous.

The small bridge is now in sight. Crossing this bridge will lead us back to our barangay.

Look at that beautiful sunrise view from the bridge. I suddenly want to take the beach course again next Wednesday. I want to capture the sunrise... <3

On our way home, we bought some bread for our breakfast. Look at how busy this intersection has become. It's the same place as in the second picture of this post. The road I captured on the second picture is the road on the left. Going straight (where the yellow bus is) leads us to the beach... It's the road we took last Wednesday. :)

All stores in the local market are open during this time. We also came across a lot of vehicles on our way home. It was around 6:20 during this time... I think?

And just like last Wednesday, our way home has some puddles because it also rained heavily the day and night before... good thing Wednesday's weather is friendly for the past couple weeks. <3

That's it for this Wednesday's post. See you next time!!!! (^^,)/
