Muesli

Hello guys....

I've been wanting to lose weight lately so I want to change the food I eat to a healthier one, and I've been researching what foods are good to eat while on a diet. And many say that eating Muesli is a good choice, so I eat Muesli with fruit toppings as a substitute for eating rice.

Muesli is a food made from rolled oats mixed with whole grains, nuts, and dried fruit and without the use of additional flavors or sweeteners, and is still raw, so before eating it still needs to be processed first. I bought Muesli from the Granola Addict brand, this can be purchased at online stores such as Tokopedia or Shopee.

The Ingredients Contained in This Muesli:

  • Rolled Oats
  • Raisin
  • Cranberry
  • Brown Flaxseed
  • Chia Seed
  • Pumkin seeds
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Cashew

There are two serving ways to enjoy this Muesli:

  • Warm method: Mix muesli with water or milk (you can use oat milk, almond milk or soy milk) and cook over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes until desired texture is desired.

  • Cold method or Overnight Oats: Muesli is soaked in milk and left overnight in the refrigerator.

And because it's currently the month of Ramadan and I'm going to fast, so I'm going to eat this Muesli when breaking fast and sahur. And I prefer to use the warm method because it tastes better when eaten warm, I'll just use water. And to make the Muesli even more delicious, I will add fruits, namely dragon fruit and oranges, I will cut the fruit.

If all the ingredients have been prepared then it's time to start cooking the Muesli. First put the Muesli and water into the pot, then cook for about 5 minutes until the Muesli softens. Then put the cooked Muesli into a bowl and place the cut fruits on it, and the Muesli is ready to eat.

To be honest, this muesli has no taste, except for the dried fruit which has a slightly sweet taste, or if you eat it with fruit, there will be a sweet and sour taste from the fruit, but even so, it is quite tasty and definitely very filling. I've been eating this for a few days and it really helps me during my fast, because it's more filling than if I eat rice. Especially during fasting Muesli really helps me, I don't feel hungry even though it's already noon, and for me who have stomach ulcers it is also very safe to eat.

Alright, that's it for this time. I will show again what I did in the next post.

Thank you for reading my post and don't forget to read my other posts.
