We have people from every country on Hive. I haven't seen what any Russians have to say about the crimes of their leader. I have been to Ukraine and I hate to see the country being trashed and people killed. We need to stand with them. Violence is not the answer.

I fully agree with you, we have to support them, help them.

I don't know what Russians have to say about it, but most likely a lot of them has nothing to do with it and are as innocent as the Ukrainians. There have been protests in Moscow, arrests as well.

I saw the protests in Russia. Those are brave people given the lack of political freedom there. It's another case of a populist leader trying to drive up nationalist feelings, regardless of the costs. Ironically such protests may be illegal in the UK under our Putin loving leaders.

Lol, "Putin loving leaders" 😂

Well, there's no freedom at all in Russia, I guess the expression "freedom of speech" is deleted from the dictionary. Let's see what the EU will do. The masses are leaving the country.

Apparently your eyes are closed and you don’t notice it, and most likely you don’t see how the citizens of Russia relate to all this. Many, I emphasize - MANY Russians are opposed to radical methods of resolving these issues and are against the war on the territory of Ukraine. I noticed that here on Hive everyone who is not too lazy to raise this topic, and write their posts without even having more or less up-to-date information, but only dispose of what TV shows them. There is just one question - where have these people been with their posts over the past 8 years? I admit that few of the authors of the posts that I saw here today care about them seriously, and some statements towards the citizens of Russia are rude and boorish messages that are not addressed to Putin and the top of Russia, namely, to ordinary citizens of Russia, these people manage to speculate on this tragedy, these people are not people at all if they sincerely think so! #stopwar

I am not against the people of Russia and have not spoken against them. This is down to Putin and his cronies who will do anything to stay in power. I have seen the protests by brave Russians who risk arrest. If they are posting on Hive I will support them too.

Don't make assumptions...

My assumptions do not specifically relate to your words, I say this because I have seen some posts on this topic from people who have only a superficial understanding of the whole situation in Ukraine, and they themselves live in a completely different part of the planet. I live 14 km from Mariupol, and yesterday I woke up from a shell explosion that flew into my city, that's all the assumptions. I have up-to-date information about a lot of what is happening now in the framework of this tragedy, I have many friends, as well as relatives who can provide me with first-hand information! And everything that is happening now in the media, in Russian, in Ukrainian, in some other countries - for the most part - is distorted news and very doubtful for authenticity. I have a lot of friends, and you will not believe it - but none of my acquaintances or relatives support military operations on the territory of Ukraine or anywhere else. We live in the 22nd century, any issue should be resolved peacefully, and I sincerely believe that those people who give orders to the military to conduct certain special operations will be punished for their actions both against their own people and against the people of Ukraine! World peace!

I'm sure most people don't want this, so why not agree on that? Most of us operate on limited information, but it's obvious these are terrible events that were set up by other crimes.

That's what I thought as the people have no say in that country. There's no freedom and any action has serious consequences. Thanks for sharing your opinion, it is highly appreciated.

The people of Russia are being held hostage by Putin. Opposition and counter-speech is crushed. I'm sorry that it's now called "The Russians", where many are against it, but have no way of changing anything. Nobody re-elected Putin, nobody can vote him out. Anyone who speaks out lives at war with Putin and his regime.

They are frightened people. They have been oppresed for years. Maybe the Russian youth can rise above years of oligarchs and terror.

Rising up against a repressive regime is never easy. Wishing them well.
