Offshore windfarms 'can provide more electricity than the world needs' | Environment | The Guardian
On my [environment news post](https://steempeak.com/news/@steevc/environmental-wins-and-losses-1ogt6ddg) yesterday @nathen007 suggested I use @dlive. I have not looked at it lately. It lets you enter a link to an article and then write something about it. I will try it with this story which I found interesting. Wind energy could be the future of supplying our power needs. There is vast untapped potential around the world. The article talks about using excess power to produce hydrogen which can be used as fuel for cars and maybe planes too. It has an environmental impact, but so does everything else we do. We also need much more efficiency and less wastage to make our generated power go further.
Okay, so there were some issues with this post. Dlike did not manage to extract an image to display. It uses html rather than Markdown, so my attempt at a link did not work. You have to click through to Dlike to get to the actual site if viewing on Steemit or other sites.

Hey, nice to see you using Dlike. It can be a bit tricky at times. It is also a place that has seen a lot of abuse in the past (and currently though they are supposed to be working on that). The key thing I make sure to tell everyone is that you try to include at least two or three paragraphs of your own commentary on the article you are sharing. Which you did splendidly by the way. The platform has some potential if people can stop abusing it.
We need more easy ways to use Steem. I would like to see it using Keychain as that is easier than Steemconnect. I will look more into Dlike. The user interface was a little lacking for me.
It has been a work in progress for quite some time now. Like I said, I stick around because I can see the potential, but so far the implementation has been a little lacking. The biggest issue you will see is people spam sharing articles without adding any of their own text. Which in my opinion is basically plagiarism. Then they add some of the tribe tags and rake in the tokens.
It was interesting to see it said it was checking for plagiarism before saving the post. That's a good idea.
They just recently added that. I don't know what service it uses or how accurate it is.
The abuse was so bad that several tribes muted the dapp. It'll take a while before the overall quality improves.
Everything gets abused on Steem as there is money to be made. We just have to curate as best we can.
Dlike... hm... :) at least new interfaces still come up, which kind of shows that steem is not dead.
I just saw the story about windmills. Nice to see some positive news on that front.

Thanks again and special thanks to @nathen007 for suggesting @dlike!
Anything can be improved. It's good to have many ways to use Steem

Hi @steevc,
I do face the image problem when I share articles from certain sites like The Guardian and Forbes. I have found a workaround it as follows:
share the article on dlike as you do for any article.
right click (shift + F10) on the image in the original article and copy the image address
go to steemit and edit the article by posting the image address where it should be.
You now have the original image appearing in dlike, steemit and elsewhere on steem blockchain!
That is an option or I can take a screenshot. They are trying to make things simple for people and less technical users would not know how to do this. I had to edit the post anyway to fix a link.
