The Secret To Happiness

Those ancient philosophers , historians , writers 
etc had some amazing quotes.
The thing about quotes is that most of the time they are vague, and the reason for this is that at any given moment in life, those quotes can be interpreted differently due to the circumstances and events happening in anyone's life at that moment. If you were to write about that quote every five years or even just once, I am sure the answers could be different. But let's focus on how I interpret it:
The secret to happiness is freedom. For me, if someone wants to truly be happy in their life, they must have freedom. Freedom means having no limitations or restrictions on the choices one wants to make regarding how they live their life. When that happens, it is more likely for people to experience a genuine sense of happiness and fulfillment.
The secret to freedom is courage.
Of course, for someone to attain freedom, they must have a lot of courage. As humans, we do not want others to be truly free, which is why we create so many rules and criticize those who try to live their life the way they want because it is seen as abnormal. So, if someone wants to have freedom, they must first have the courage to confront and overcome obstacles and challenges that might try to suppress that freedom. Courage is the inner strength and resilience required to stand up for one's beliefs and desires.
Of course what freedom is might differ from people to people. In a poor country freedom would come when the financial problems where solved.
In an oppressive society being able to choose how to live you life and make your own choices would mean freedom
And if you ask people with different nationalities , gender etc i believe the answers would be different.
But I believe freedom doesn't precisely mean having no limitations or restrictions. Getting everything we want doesn't define our freedom. We are just given diversion or choices, and the only thing that will make freedom real is if we have self-limitation.
But in this part, I highly believe in that. The only freedom and happiness I know is when we can choose our struggle.
In developing countries like ours (I can't feel it, bruh), our problem is also about finances. That is the only thing that will make us happy since we are able to solve that crisis, and also, earning that type of freedom means that we finally have the freedom to live whatever we want.

I think that's the good part about it (quotes.) The tend to speak to each of us differently and based on what is happening in our lives at the moment. Imagine a woman an an abusive relationship reading this quote...and then a person feeling trapped in their department at work...they'll see it differently and act accordingly.

Freedom is definitely a pathway to happiness. When we're not bound by any subjective limitations, we become free. Being free brings a sense of happiness to us since there's nothing holding us back or preventing us from being happy. I like quotes when they're vague and can have multiple meanings depending on the context, good for pondering :)

It is true that freedom is relative. It differs, depending on the status or belief of someone. As for me, freedom has something to do with responsibilities. If we have freedom to do whatever things we want, we must own up to our actions and how they might affect people or situations around us.

When I read about the quote, I asked myself if I have achieved the secrets to happiness. But I guess only a bit because at times, I do not have freedom in everything, and what I love about is freedom of time. It is always nice reading insightful words from you my dear friend. Have a great day!
