OpenClassrom: Learn a Tech Skill for Absolutely Free!
Last week, I had the opportunity to get a free coupon code worth 20 pounds to get access to a certificate for any course I complete on OpenClassroom. I was able to get this coupon code for a programme that was hosted by the Nigerian government and aimed at training over a million Nigerians in a variety of tech fields.

The coupon code happens to give me access for just a month, which means that I can learn as many courses as I want within this one month and be given a certificate for them all. I have decided not to waste this opportunity and have chosen to learn free courses on this platform, and from there on, I will start working on a free project.
At the moment, I have completed the Introductory to Artificial Intelligence course and also collected a certificate for it. I took this to get familiar with some things in the field. Although I already have some in-depth knowledge of machine learning and deep learning, I felt there would still be more that could be known.

Learning from OpenClassroom was quite interesting, as I loved as they structured the learning into parts and quizzes within each part.

As you can see, I have completed the first two parts, but for this course, there are a total of four parts. This course really covered the ground-level basics of the introduction to AI, which I find very important to know.
I got to understand how artificial intelligence is applied to our daily environment, the common myths about AI, the opportunities it offers, and a lot more.
When I chose to learn about AI and started venturing into deep learning, I didn't cover these aspects, and it is something I would advise a beginner not to miss out on.
I like this website as it offers so many introductory courses for free; you only have to pay to get the certificate. These introductory courses have an in-depth structure that is enough for one to kick-start his career.
There are some things I have missed out on in my learning path, and I feel if I dedicate enough time to my learning, I would be able to cover a lot and still earn all the certificates on these courses.
This is very possible, but it requires a lot from me, which is my dedication to learning, as I would need to put a lot of hours into learning and trying to put into practise what I learn.
I have started another course on OpenClassroom at the moment, which I will talk about later. This is less about my professional skills and more about my soft skills. Hopefully I get to share more about it in my next post.

Congratulations boss.
No knowledge is a waste as long as there's a place for it to be used/applied. And learning the basics of anything before proceeding to the advance is like laying a strong foundation for a house.
Wish you many more achievements brother.
