My 2024 Roadmap: AI, YouTube, and Building a Remote Life

Roadmap.jpg

At this moment of the year, it is common for people to begin writing their plans and goals for 2024, and right now, this is what I am thinking about. What goals and plans should I set for next year? And if I am going to set goals and make plans, then it has to be something I truly desire and am intentional about; there is not enough time to be joking around.

By God's grace, next year I would be done with the university; I would be set out of life to figure out the rest of my life, and the decision I make now and the actions I take towards my set of plans would have a great effect on the rest of my life.

AI.jpg

My first goal for next year is to have acquired a well-rounded set of skills in artificial intelligence, focused on building projects and attending competitions and programmes for the year. I need a career path to take seriously, something I need to focus on, and it seems the A.I. seems to have a promising future. This is why I have chosen the opportunity to make it a skill. strive hard to have something to be confident about.

I had initially thought that if Hive was taken away from my life, there would be just a little boy left who has no set of skills to fend for himself. Aside from the fact that I know how to play the guitar, I don't desire to use it as a source of survival. That is not the type of life I want to live. I love the remote life—being able to live and work whatever and wherever I want.

I don't want to have to move to places compulsorily for the sake of having to make a means of living. I want to stay in the comfort of my home with my future family and use my skills to bring in money. This is my choice to focus on software and programming.

youtube.jpg

Another goal for next year is to build a YouTube channel focused on me and primarily tech and programming. And I don't want the YouTube channel to have any relation to starstrings01, but at the same time, I would love to share my videos on Hive. This is why I created another hive account, @iam-gifted, which I plan to run soon, primarily for tech content, be it videos or blogs.

This way, I make @starstrings01 cover my lifestyle, where I can share thoughts about myself and my life, and also guitar videos, while @iam-gifted covers contents I would share not just on Hive but on other platforms. If I share a coding tutorial on that account, then that means I do not share it alone on Hive but also on other platforms. I want to have a uniform name in every aspect of my account.

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have noticed that about a month ago, I changed my Twitter username to @iam_gifted_. This is because of my plan for uniformity in my tech and programming contents.

A friend also gave me the idea that I should also include tech finance in it and make videos about which tech space pays more as well, and I plan to look into that.

To have a YouTube channel and build it up to be able to make some money is not something that would be easy, but since I have Hive, I don't have that to bother about. My concern would be gaining subscribers who would genuinely find my contents valuable.

In the future, when I get popular on Web 2 platforms like Youtube, I totally hope to market Hive, talk about my story, and onboard as many as possible on Hive.

My Struggles with these Goals

One of the difficult things in life is maintaining consistency, and no matter how disciplined most of my friends think I am, I am still shaky. I fear the act of not being consistent, and this is why I developed the act of reminding myself of my goals every day and making sure everything I do must compliment the goals I plan on achieving.

On the other Hive account I created, I actually created the account on @creativepearl's birthday intentionally so that I could mark the anniversary of that account on Pearl's birthday. It would make it easy for me to remember.

The issue I have with the new account is starting. I have thought so much about it, and I seriously don't know how to start, where to start, or what actions to take. I fear I may procrastinate on this thought and begin to lose the drive and passion for these plans. I told a friend of mine about this, and he said I should start now so that I do not have to look for a perfect day.

From the books I have also read, there is not a perfect day, but there is always a day that begins a journey of a thousand miles. This means I would have to leave my worries and start regardless, begin with a plan, and execute it without waiting for a perfect day.

Feels great to finally share this post, I had completed this post since 20 days ago, and I didn't know if publishing the post at the beginning of month was to early for a 2024 Roadmap. I am glad I have finally published it and not forgotten it in my draft.

Setting goals can be challenging but the fact that is challenging only means is something that is worth sacrificing for. I also have the problem of knowing the right time to start, and the perfect place to start but then I wish there was.

The truth is we are just scared of making mistakes or not getting the results we want when we start but then, we can never know so we just have to embrace whatever comes after but keep hoping for the best.

Creating a YouTube channel is definitely not going to be easy but like you said, consistency is key.

All the best as you pursue your 2024 goals, it's definitely going to be worth it if you give your best 💯

Thanks for the support. You are totally right about the point that, since it is challenging, it is worth sacrificing for.

I wish the best for you in 2024, too! What goal do you have for next year, btw?

Beginning something is always hard and a tough decision many of us encounter because of some factors surrounding it but when we have taken that step, along the line, we realize how interesting it is. And with consistency, it becomes easier and fun.

even consistency is not something easy. And I totally agree to the fact beginning something is not easy.

Forex is a 50/50 thing. Yeah you can make money from it when you gain a lot of experience but before you get to that stage, you may get to lose a lot of money

Wonder why YouTube and not 3speak? Also wonder if A.I. is really comparable as far as freedom. Most of the language modeling happening is only with huge SAAS backend that makes it a bit rigid on real opportunities in the space as opposed to Blockchain that anyone can innovate from anywhere without relying on big tech infrastructure.

That said, good luck with your new goals and hope you are successful.

Yesterday i met with a crypto group and one thing that i showed them between the third world and the first is usually the age gap that is there. European and American groups are full of whiteheads and people above 50, while most of the communities in Africa, Latin America and south east Asia are young, fresh out of college and with little to no industry experience. What are your thoughts? Is there a way to change this?

I plan to post the same content I publish on 3speak and YouTube. That's why I created a new account so my name on YouTube and Hive matches.

Do you mean the crypto groups are filled with people from 50s and above? Or do you mean on Hive generally?

I mean geographically, not many 50 year old hiver in Nigeria, but plenty dutch hivers.

Oh yeah! This is because people of that age in Nigeria don't believe in much money from these sources, and aside from that, most of them are used to 9 to 5 jobs, and when they get time, they claim they don't have the time.

Aside from that, Hive itself might be too technical for them. Even some young people I have brought to Hive face difficulties, not to mention people who were not early exposed to technology on this side of the world.

Well most people come more from the tech side than the financial background side. But also all these 9 to 5 things apply to people in US and Europe as well. Yet you see a very different attitude and sometimes are the young ones, missing on these events. I mean there are plenty of young adults but not as many.

For example this is dan, starkerz from 3speak or Jux from Rising Star, or even taskmaster from cryptoholics. Anyway it's something that I have noticed for the longest looking at people from Hive Nigeria, Venezuela and Cuba.

Yeah, I saw this on LinkedIn. I would love to experience making one.

You can learn with an edge device. Maybe get a Raspberry Pi 4 or a Jetson Nano to run these models instead of using your computer.

Setting goals gets you closer to achieving them. It's not always that easy but once it's written out, there are possibilities of achieving them.

Good luck friend

True I agree that a goal is very possible to achieve once it is written out.

Guy!!!!
As I saw this, I took a deep breath for real...
Many part of this write up was talking to me.
I think I still had a discussion with you on how I can improve my audio output for my content.
May God help us all in Jesus name.
I also love a remote life, but the sacrifice is demanding.
If Hive is removed from many of us currently ehn, chai... I don't know what else.

It is a really good thing that you have a good plan for the coming year 2024. I have not written down my goals yet.

Planning for life after school so important, one needs to be prepared for life outside school. Your tech career and Youtube contents would be a great way to thrive well.

Your consistency is on a great scale, but can be better too. I understand that being consistent can be really tough sometimes but a daily reminder of your goals especially the results and rewards that comes with accomplishing these goals should increase your drive to wanting to meet up with them.

Sometimes all you need to do is start without thinking because waiting and looking for the perfect time only makes you waste a lot of time.

I wish you all the best of luck you need in achieving and kick-starting these goals
