Juggling Life: From Head Injuries to IT Defense - A Rollercoaster Start to the Year

Growth report (2).jpg

It's the second day of the year, and to me, my holiday period has ended, and it's time to get back to work. Ah ah! Not that I was on vacation. It has come to the end of my IT and the festive holiday as my school is resuming. I am going back to start my final year with a lot of pressure on my shoulders.

Before talking about this pressure, I had shared a post about my head injury, which I have been treating for over two months, which has been very tiring. Last week I had an excision on my head, in which the doctor removed the growth on my head and stitched it up there after. It was a very painful experience.

Today I had to visit the hospital early to remove the stitch from my head, which was very painful but not as painful as when a part of my flesh was being cut off. After the stitch had been removed, the pain stopped.

I had initially planned my day and how I wanted it to go, so immediately I left the hospital and went to barb my hair. The hairstyle I am presently rocking is Skin! which is something I said months ago that I cannot barb, and now I find myself on that same haircut.

Thereafter, I set up my luggage to leave Lagos for school. I didn't want to waste any more time and wanted to be in school on time so that I can start working on my IT report and presentation slides since my defence is just two days away.

In about 4 hours I got to school, and at this moment, I was very hungry. I had left home early without eating. I happened to have left school last year with no foodstuff at home and coming back to school means I would have to eat out until I buy food items.

When I went out, I figured that most shops have not opened. While still looking for what to eat, my friend who wanted to help out with my system called me to meet up. I was happy to receive his call and had to change most of my plans to meet him. We both noticed that most eateries didn't open probably because of the new year so we went to somewhere farther to meet another friend hoping to get some thing to eat there.

After meeting up with the third friend, he took us to a place where we could eat bread and beans. We were happy that we were able to see some place to eat, as I would have settled for biscuits and a drink there after.

The Pressure Right Now

In two days I would be having IT Defense and I have not completed my report and slides. Today is supposed to be the deadline for project report and slides and I have not completed that either. I am happy because it looks like my supervisor has forgotten to ask about it, so we decided not to say anything since most of us have not completed any of it.

I am sharing this post today because of my goal to write a post at least once a day this month and also to raise $400. There is no way I would be able to achieve that goal if I don't go by the plan I have set for myself.

So after clicking publishing, I am going to take a nap to rest from the long walk and travel stress. Then, I would wake up and start working on these report as tomorrow as its own troubles. I would need to visit the ITF Office to stamp my logbook, take passport photographs and print my report tomorrow. If I don't get finish today or this night, there would be a lot of delay on my day of defense.

See you later...

I am suprised that you have resumed school. I am still contemplating on when to resume though it cannot exceed this week.

Writing everyday won't be so easy, but it is achievable. See you soon bro.

So much pressure and lot that you are passing through but I am so sure you will get over them. Don't always forget to take quality rest so as not to break down

Yeah true, quality rest is important and really underrated when there are loads of work. I do try myself to do that. I really appreciate the wonderful comment.
