Hive Power Up Day And A Newbie Contest!
It has been a while since I participated in Hive Power Up, and this has been because I have not been as consistent and intentional about my growth here, but that has to change. And what does this mean? This actually means I would be intentional about my Hive Power Changes and resume making monthly goals like I did in the past. It was a huge secret to my progress, and let me tell you, if you are looking for a way to grow your HP faster, Monthly Power-ups and HP Goals do the trick.
Presently, I have a sum of 18,969 HP, and for this month, I powered up a total of 34.8 Hive. Yeah, I know that this might be a small amount, but as the month goes by, I would do well to power up more. Also, little drops of water can cause an Ocean before we know it.
NOW I AM IN THE MOOD OF A CONTEST OPEN TO NEWBIES!!!
As you know me, I am the newbie initiative guy!
Before I continue, here is something for the newbies: If you are new to Hive, below a Hive Reputation of 65, have probably spent less than a year on Hive and are serious about your growth here on Hive, then this is probably for you. An application to be mentored by experienced Hiveans on the chain is open for you to register; you just have to show your interest through the comment section of the post, and boom, you get to join the discord and prove your activeness during the period of the application to get accepted in the programme. So here is the Contest!
This contest is open to every newbie that wants to partake in Hive Power Up Day! All you need to do is power up above 10 hives and get 50 Ecency Points. The idea is that you get times 5 of whatever value of the Hive you power up. The maximum points I would be giving out are 1000 Ecency Points per person for whatever Value of Hive you Power UP. In other words, you need to power up 200 Hive, to get 1000 Ecency Points from me.
All you have to do is:
- Meet the requirements stated above.
- Create a post of what amount of Hive you are Powering up.
- Set a Hive Power goal target for Next Month.
- Share the Link of your Post in my comment section.
- Invite your friends who you think that meet this requirement to join in the fun!
Rebloging is not compulsory, but would be appreciated!
As a newbie, I know you might not know the process of powering up Hive, so here is how I powered mine up.
- Locate your wallet
- Locate Hive in your wallet
- You would see a drop down Icon (Blue Arrow)
- Click on Power Up and set your desired amount to Power Up (Yellow Arrow)
- Viola! You have Powered Up some Hive.

Now that I have made it to 19K HP, my goal for the end of this month is to make an extra 400 Hive Power. So I hope to attain a Hive Power of 19,400 Hive by the end of the month. I know this would be a tough challenge for me, but the tougher it gets, the stronger I become.
To make it more fun, this Contest will be open until Sunday, September 3rd, 11:59 p.m. WAT. This is to encourage everyone to power up some Hive.

Wow...this is an interesting initiative, encouraging Newbies to partake in growing their stake in hive ecosystem. I have known you to always brainstorm on ways to assist Newbies growth, this is actually nice with yummy gift . And as for your new goal, you can do this even though it's challenging... daily blogging can assist you especially with this current dip

What you've powered up is a very decent figure. I guess we just have to individually build the way and manner we can and how we can afford to as well. Good contest to incentive others to power up, hopefully they keep it powered up even after the end of the contest
Yeah hopefully... This is why I requested they set a new hive power goal in their hive power day post. That way I may know those who are seeking for genuine growth.

Powering up little amounts is also a part of progress, it ensures that we don't remain stagnant. And you will be surprised at how soon your goals will be meet.
