Last Glimpse (Part II) - Thailand Travel | Wandering Around

An hour had passed, and the boat driver asked us if we wanted to be dropped off going back to the pier or be dropped at the Temple of Dawn. (Click here for more). "So we said at the temple. It was already past lunchtime when we reached there.

The weather went from rainy to sunny. The dark, gloomy clouds were replaced with blue skies and sunshine. The temple was a bit crowded, and so was the area surrounding it. We then grabbed some pictures and explored the place. It took us almost an hour to explore. After that, we went to a nearby (just beside the temple) souvenir shop.

And then headed to a nearby cafe situated on the premises of the temple. We ordered some snacks and dug in. We were famished.
His view
My view. Lol

Later on, we decided to go back to the ferry pier (another one), just across the Temple of The Dawn. That pier was near the Grand Palace. The fare was only 5Baht ($0.13) each.

When we reached the other side, there were souvenir shops and some cafes and restaurants. We explored and wandered around the grand palace and took some pics. The celebration was just finished when we passed by. It was around 4 or 5 in the afternoon already. And then, when we got a little tired, we decided to go home and just walked to the train station. We googled it and it was only a 16-minute walk. Along the way, we took pictures and also enjoyed the places we passed by.

Until we reach the underground train station. It was not crowded, and the place was really clean. We then went back to where we came from and bought some things at 7-Eleven. When we got to the station where we first headed in the morning, we booked a Grab car again to go to our hotel. It was dark already.

In our hotel room, I was already preparing for our things and started packing because the day after was the day we were going to head back to our respective countries. It was sad but happy at the same time because we had our time together and spent the days with awesomeness and fun. After that, we went out to nearby 7-Eleven to grab something to eat early in the morning since my flight was at 9 a.m. and breakfast at the hotel is served at 8.

We came back to our room and my partner ordered Grab food, and we had our dinner together. We didn’t get to go outside our room or near the pool because we were tired due to the whole day of wandering. After packing our stuff, we talked and spent the last night together in Thailand, cuddling.

In the morning, I took a bath and ate the food we purchased the night before. My flight was earlier than his, so he stayed at the hotel until check out, and I went to the airport at 6 in the morning together with the other tourists that had earlier flights too. We were accommodated in the hotel van. My partner and I hugged tightly before I left, promising to see each other again as soon as possible. I got sad and cried in the van while traveling to the airport.

He didn’t go back to sleep, not until I boarded the plane. He was with me all the time and was always updating. While I was waiting for my boarding time, I grabbed some food and ate at a nearby cafe at my gate. When it was almost time, I went and sat down along with the other passengers (now mostly Filipinos heading to Manila). I took the liberty of taking photos because the structure of the airport is just so amazing and mesmerizing. I was a little sleepy when it was time to board. I got on the plane and got comfortable in my seat. I updated my father and my partner that the plane was taking off already. And again, I slept the entire 3-hour flight.

When I arrived in Manila, I went straight to immigration and got in line. It was like two immigration counters I passed through, but this time, no more questions. I'm just going to show that completed health declaration before returning to PH. And yey! I've returned to the Philippines. I then went to my gate because my flight to Cebu is in an hour. So I hurriedly looked for my gate, sat down, and waited.

It was just an hour's flight, and yes! Touchdown Cebu!

I headed to SM City to meet @jeennicious and we had dinner together. Of course, I shared with her everything about my travels and all. We then went home afterward.

Thank you so much, Hivers, for exploring with me once again and being with me up until this part of the trip. I appreciate it a lot. I can't wait to share more of my other experiences through blogs with you. Love lots! All the best!

It was really extraordinary that the trip was very eager to also enjoy such a trip even though to different places. Hopefully one day I can do it and it will be one of the stories in my life too

I love the architecture of the temple and the roofs of some of the buildings that you've shown. For someone who is not used to seeing such, it's kind of appealing to view it even in photos. 😊

Congratulations on your vacation to Thailand. I can see that you had so much fun!
