Hivefest: Hanging out with whangster79

I saved some clips of me and my friend @whangster79 hanging out in the VR world. We traveled to BTC Citadel, NFT Showroom and the main stage.

My friends audio is messed up in the beginning with a weird sound profile set in his sound card settings. He fixes it and we head over to where the portals are.

My friend is able to easily teleport but I had issues using them. So I had to exit the app, come back in and find @whangster79 on my friends list and use "go to" to get to him.

We traveled to the BTC Citadel, and walked down one of the streets. We saw the Bitconnect banner that was animated.. gave us a good laugh. Shortly after @jasonrussell showed up. We were chatting in general on Palnet (Minnow Support Project) discord saying he was going to be checking out the world.

I could not see him in the main meeting area when first connected to the event. So he had to teleport to where @whangster79 and I were to be able to see us. @jasonrussell did not have a microphone and we had to communicate through a series of nods. But we figured it out after asking him to nod if he could hear us. We chat about Bitcoin and price was at the time, around 24k.. haha so long ago now we are into the high 30s. But fun to listen to us talk about bitcoin from a little under a month ago.

We travel to the NFT Showroom next and walk around for a bit. His audio gets messed up again so I need to point out that to him as he does not know otherwise. Hah a few people thought there was a child running around Hivefest, but it was indeed just my friend @whangster79 with messed up sound card settings.

Going to the main stage area next we watch the presenters. @whangster79 asked @blocktrades and @howo about plans for making key pairs more user friendly. They said they are aware of the issue and looking into solutions. He brings up a good point. For most newbies just bitcoins 2 keys is confusing enough, so the learning curve to understand Hives memo, posting, active and owner keys can be a little much for someone new to the space. Thanks for bringing that up @whangster79.

I had alot of fun exploring the events and meeting people at Hivefest last year. And really happy @whangster79 could join me in my first Hivefest event. I am giving @whangster79 half the rewards of this post. Now its the new year he owes me a meal for our Bitcoin bet since I won. Looking forward to that meal! But we both win in the end because Bitcoin just keeps going higher, way higher than my 25k prediction for our bet. Now its close to 40k, pretty amazing. Looking forward to when Hive moons as well.
