It's Squirrel Sunday Again
It's #squirrelsunday again
The squirrels around the neighborhood are still active this winter.
It is still quite mild around here with not too much snow and we are even getting sunny days. The squirrels have it easy this year.
This one managed to scrap around for a piece of bread. I suspect it went dumpster diving for an old baguette.
This one was hanging around in an evergreen tree. It was quite tame, I think it thought I had food for it.
Eventually it ran up the tree after it figured out I had no food for it.
Now just to mix it up a bit I have some chipmunk photos from earlier this spring.
So far this winter I have not seen a chipmunk out anywhere. Maybe they just hibernate underground.
I'll have to try and collect some more chipmunk photos to balance out all the fox squirrel photos I have. I'll have to stash some peanuts on good perching places for good poses.

Probably we don’t have any out this year they destroyed a couple last year
Nice shots it involve special abilities to take this kind of shots animals pictures are always difficult to take,sometimes you have to be smart and Sharp about it, you have done a good job @sketch.and.jam
Fortunately squirrels are pretty easy to get photos of around here. Birds are much more difficult.
You are very correct but here in Nigeria 🇳🇬 you hardly see them around because hunters do hunt them down @sketch.and.jam
They get hunted sometimes here too, but they mostly have to worry about owls and hawks.

These guys are just in a park by my house. They are all over the place here.

Some can be very tame and curious for food.
This first picture haha. Posing for the camera or thinking "What is this creature doing pointing at me again?"
The detail is great, I mostly get blurs when I try to capture these guys.

Aww they deserved an easier winter. I suppose that colder climate can make their life a bit harder, at least in our eyes. They are probably fine either way
Their fur coats get pretty thick I wonder if they are sweating in the milder winter now.
