There are flowers in their natural state that change colour according to how certain meteorological agents act.

In this case I want to show you these white flowers that change colour with the cold.

Yes, you read that right, as winter approaches, they begin to slowly and gradually change colour, going from white to an increasingly intense purplish colour like the one you see in the photos.

In this part of the southern hemisphere we are in the middle of winter and the flowers are beginning to reach their most intense purplish colour which intermingles with the snowy white of other flowers of the same species which still retain their natural colour.

It is a beautiful spectacle that nature offers us every day, as these plants grow without any care and can be found on the side of the road or in any garden, although the first cultivation is best done by transplanting a root.

From that moment on, they begin to develop and produce flowers without interruption, covering a large part of the ground.

They are ideal for covering those areas of the garden that cannot be cultivated with other plants that have good sun exposure.

The photos were taken with a LG cell phone G2 Mini at 14:30 today, Monday.

BTW, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more votes to get funded again.

May we ask you to support our proposal so our team can continue its work?

I believe these are Lantana flowers.

We appreciate your work and your post has been manually curated by @redheadpei on behalf of Amazing Nature Community. It will be added to the weekly botany curation post. Keep up the good work!

(Edited)

I value the contribution very much, and it is the spirit of the community supporting my contents.

It could be a variety Lantana, although this species has many red flowers and I never saw the plants that I managed to photograph of that color.

Even the ones I have in my yard are white that change in the cold to an increasingly dark purple.

Even the varieties of Lantana are taller and this is a kind of trailing plant that does not rise from the ground more than 20 centimeters.

Next time I will try to identify the species. Thanks for commenting @redheadpei
