Nightmare in the kitchen 😂

We're throwing a birthday party for Little Man this weekend and I wanted to make some cookies for the buffet...

They all looked so promising at first...

But in the end they changed their mind 😂

I was in a hurry to get everything done before Little Man and Trumpman would get back in the house after their evening out in the garden, so I forgot that I had to use less sugar than what the recipe said. The result as you can see is one biiiiig cookie that smells and tastes delicious but is nowhere near making it to our buffet. The good thing is I now have butter cookies for my morning coffee, the bad thing is I will need to bake another dose tomorrow along with the cake.

(The correct one, not the guarantee for a baking disaster)

• 250 gr melted butter
• 1 cup sugar (the original recipe said 1,5 but that doesn't work)
• 2 eggs
• A pinch of salt
• 2 tsp baking powder
• Vanilla extract for aroma
• 3,5 cups all purpose flour

Start by mixing the butter with the sugar and then continue by adding the rest of the ingredients saving the flour for the end. Use your cookie cutters to make the shapes of your taste and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 12-15 minutes until they get a nice golden color.

If I find the time and make a new batch tomorrow, I'll show you what they're supposed to look like 😅
