I Made Something New for a Snack: Hot, Has Sticky Soup, Topped with Milk and Milo, and Well Loved by the Fam

bash_20260214_165726_0000.png

For the last batch of purple corn that we have, we made something new and really delicious. Who knows when will be able to eat this much of corn, a purple corn at that. But right now, we are just making the most out of what we have left right here. (^._.^)ノ

IMG_20260214_150629.jpg

Anyways, actually, Mommy D's plan was to make a corn soup. And to be honest I like that too, although Mama already made it the other day, but I didn't eat much of it because I already bought cooked vegetable dish and I don't want it to go to waste. And so I approved Mommy D's plan to make a corn soup ƪ(‾.‾“)┐. And look I even prepared the onion and garlic that will use for it though I didn't cut them yet. Good thing I didn't though coz we change the recipe at the last minute, lol.

IMG_20260214_151015.jpgIMG_20260214_151105.jpg

So Mommy D used a grater for the corn. She wants the corn grated, it ended up looking like a grated coconut. But I requested to have a lil bit of the corn which I want gor this recipe because I want something that I fan munch. And I am the one who did that part, using a knife.

IMG_20260214_151652.jpgIMG_20260214_151643.jpg

After that, I immediately put a lot of water in it because we have to boil it for the corn to soften.

IMG_20260214_151900.jpgIMG_20260214_151914.jpg

After 10 minutes of coiling it in high heat, I noticed that it looks like a Champorado. Champorado is some kind of dessert, its sweet and milky and really chocolatey. It is a sweet chocolate rice porridge gere in the Philippines. Really good for breakfast or as snacks. And this corn here looks similar to it. After 20 more minutes of boiling it, the soup really thicken, really similar to the champorado so I told Mommy D about it and she agreed.

IMG_20260214_152431.jpgIMG_20260214_152438.jpg

And that's when we decided to make the corn soup a champorado like snacks with milk and chocolate powder (milo). Instead of rice, we used corn which is also not bad as a replacement haha. It become sticky too, thanks to the grated corn that serves as starch thickener. Now not sure what to cool this recipe, I mean, this is really an experiment no? Lol. But it will turn out good, believe me guys. Ehe

IMG_20260214_152955.jpgIMG_20260214_152947.jpg

And its done! We only put four tablespoon of powdered milk, salt and small amount of sugar. We can just seasoned it with whatever we want, sugar, powdered chocolate or powdered milk. We cook it that way as per mommy F's request.

IMG_20260214_153339.jpgIMG_20260214_153535.jpg

So here's what I did to mine, with sugar, milk and choco powder. I don't want it too sweet so I just put small amount of each. Seriously, the taste of Milo here is much more. But its creamy too

We enjoyed this as a morning snacks, the oldies loves it, mama loves it too. It is a warm, sweet and creamy snacks which is really perfect for the cold weather. You see Mommy D's in jacket? It's really cold here. I didn't even sweat after eating it but it made my stomach jump in joy \(^o^)/.
