Facing Sulky Rain With Our Umbrellas and Hoodie: Rainy Weather Snaps and Mommy D's Chewy "Pilipit"

...rain, rain, oh thank you for the rain. Happy greens, happy trees, happy farmers everywhere. Rain, rain, thank you for the sprinkle, oh rain... (⁠ ⁠/⁠^⁠ω⁠^⁠)⁠/⁠♪⁠♪

So yeah, its raining cats and dogs here coz of Habagat or Southwest Moonsoon and even though typhoon Inday (BAVI) is not directly landing here. There's already a lot of affected Cities coz of it, even here in our place the rain is nonstop, but what we're thankful is, it is not that heavy though there are times that it becomes too intense. Anyways, I hope everyone's affected is okay..

Now, there maybe is this rain, but this is not enough to stop us from buying ingredients in the market. But man, what a gloomy weather.

And so, we ready our umbrellas and had a walk to the market. With this kind of weather and when I have to walk outside, what's in my mind always is how I want to go home fast. Like, I don't really like walking when its raining. The perfect thing to do with that kind of weather is cuddle with the pillows haha. So there's Mama with her yellow umbrella, and of course the happy flowers too

The surrounding really started to look more bright and enhanced when it is raining like this. And so yeah, I am wearing a hoodie because my umbrella is too small, the splatter of the water would surely wet my hands if I didn't wear this

Here's more snaps I took on our way to the wet market. There's actually a lot of things that caught my attention here. One, this plant vase that just fall to the ground, -how did it even happen though? I think the wind is not that strong last night though it rains nonstop too. Two, the water buckets thats saving the drop of the rain. We have this too at home coz its always good to save water. I used it to clean the pets cages.

Three, there's also that tree, as if it was an entrance to a forest. Dunno why that's what I first thought after seeing it. I like it actually. Next too it is a fruit stand.

By the way, Mama bought 4 kilos of rice for her pets. I bought fish, pork and chicken for me and the oldies. Mama bought her lunch in a Carinderia. And you know, we are so lucky that there's a fresh fish in the market. What if we went there a bit later, surely, we won't find anything here. Glad we're early today. Hihi

When we get home, we got so busy in the kitchen, especially me coz I made two simple dish for myself and Mommy F. Mommy D cook her own dish by the way. Here's mine, Pork with Potato. Its been a while since I last cook Pork. I will share the recipe of this maybe next time.

And this is the dish Mommy D made for herself, its a chicken recipe and she used my favorite part a combination of thigh and breast. I love how she cooked it too, saucy and tasty!

Then in the afternoon, we made this chewy rice cake with caramelized sugar on top. Its chewy, crispy and really so good.

Its name is called "Pilipit" here in our town, it should be like twisted in shape but coz Mommy D is so naiinip she decided to make it in whatever shape. HAHAHA. What's important is the taste anyways, hihi

Its soft and chewy so I had to chew it really long coz I don't want to experience stomachache later haha. And although I accidentally dip my finger in a hot caramelized sugar while dipping the chewy rice cake in it, I still enjoy it so I'll say its worth it...but I really wish that accident never happen coz its damn painful ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ. Aigoooo.
