Hace unos dias me encargaron una bandeja de desayuno con temática de Frozen para una pequeña que cumpliría 5 añitos, pero en esta oportunidad la persona solo quería la bandeja decorada pues quería realizar el desayuno por su cuenta, y colocarlo en casa para sorprender a la cumpleañera apenas despertara, y como el resultado me pareció hermoso y bastante sencillo de realizar quise compartir con ustedes el paso a paso por si desean consentir a sus seres queridos.

Como les digo es bastante sencillo, realmente solo se trata de recortar y pegar por capas, solo basta tener algo de creatividad y tiempo para lograr resultados increíbles.

Para esta bandeja de desayuno tampoco se requieren muchos materiales, claro que va a depender de cuán elaborada la deseas, en este caso se trató de una bandeja sencilla, sin muchos apliques, pero como siempre les digo, la imaginación es el límite, pero por lo pronto les dejo la lista de materiales que yo utilicé.

Lo primero que hago antes de iniciar este tipo de tareas es tener todo a la mano para no tener que levantarme constantemente a buscar cosas, ya que esto me retrasa, por lo que a ustedes les recomiendo lo mismo. Y una vez tenemos todo en el área de trabajo podemos comenzar con nuestra tarea.

Paso 1

Recortar todas las piezas a utilizar para comenzar a crear las capas. En mi caso, suelo comenzar con los apliques, que en esta bandeja serían los personajes de la peli Frozen. Al recortar, como ven, suelo dejar un borde blanco ya que aporta otra capa de color a la pieza.

Una vez he recortado todo, procedo a pegar las figuras sobre la cartulina azul con pega en barra, y recorto de igual manera dejando algo de borde azul.

Seguidamente marco la silueta de cada figura sobre la cartulina rosada, y de igual manera recorto dejando un pequeño borde rosado. A esta pieza, vamos a pegar la que hicimos anteriormente, utilizando en este caso adhesivo doble faz. Particularmente, yo compro una que ya viene recortada porque me ahorra muchísimo tiempo, asi que coloco algunos taquitos, pego sobre la pieza rosada y listo.

Este mismo procedimiento lo repito con el resto de los apliques que voy a utilizar (frases, copos de nieve, nombre y edad de la pequeña), solo cambiando el orden de los colores o el material a emplear para dar un poco más de vistosidad a nuestro trabajo.

Ya con todas las piezas listas vamos al siguiente paso.

Paso 2

Lo que sigue es armar la base donde irán nuestros apliques, que va ubicada en la parte de atrás de la bandeja, en esta oportunidad quise usar dos arcos de diferentes materiales y tamaños, uno con la cartulina escarchada y otro un poco más alto con el foamy texturizado.

Para ambos arcos recorté una pieza exactamente igual en cartulina sulfatada blanca y las pegué con los taquitos de adhesivo doble faz. En esta oportunidad como ven, no dejé bordes blancos, sino que los corté al ras.

Paso 3

El siguiente paso es decorar la parte delantera de la bandeja, y para ello decidí utilizar la cartulina escarchada que compré, que si lo notan es un azul en degradé realmente lindo.

Lo que hice fue medir la parte que necesitaba cubrir y trasladar esas medidas a la cartulina, y recortar y pegar con ayuda de la pistola de silicón.

Paso 4

Para finalizar nuestra bandeja de desayuno lo siguiente es el armado, y para esto solo necesitamos fijar cada pieza en su lugar tomando en cuenta por supuesto lo que vamos a colocar en ella para no tapar nuestro trabajo.

En este caso fijé con silicón los dos arcos que hice al inicio, quedando uno superpuesto por encima del otro, después fijé con adhesivo doble faz los personajes de la peli, el nombre de la niña y la edad.

Seguidamente en el frente de la cajita la frase "Feliz cumpleaños", algunos copos de nieve para decorar y trabajo finalizado.

Como pueden ver, es un trabajo sencillo, pero no les voy a negar que toma muchísimo tiempo, pues al trabajar con capas debemos como mínimo utilizar tres por cada pieza, lo que implica marcar, recortar y pegar, muchas, pero muchas piezas (23 en este trabajo), lo que por supuesto toma horas, pero definitivamente, vale la pena, porque el resultado es precioso, aparte le aporta dimensión a los apliques.

Y de esta manera podemos consentir a esa persona especial, con un detalle 100% personalizado, creado con nuestras manos.

For this breakfast tray you don't need many materials, of course it will depend on how elaborate you want it, in this case it was a simple tray, without many appliques, but as I always say, imagination is the limit, but for now I leave you the list of materials that I used.

The first thing I do before starting this type of task is to have everything at hand so I don't have to constantly get up to look for things, as this slows me down, so I recommend the same to you. And once we have everything in the work area we can start with our task.

Step 1

Cut out all the pieces to use to start creating the layers. In my case, I usually start with the appliques, which in this tray would be the characters from the movie Frozen. When cutting out, as you can see, I usually leave a white border as it adds another layer of color to the piece.

Once I have cut out everything, I proceed to glue the figures on the blue cardboard with glue stick, and cut in the same way leaving some blue border.

Then I mark the silhouette of each figure on the pink cardboard, and in the same way I cut out leaving a small pink border. To this piece, we are going to glue the one we made previously, using double-sided adhesive in this case. Particularly, I buy one that comes already cut out because it saves me a lot of time, so I place some small pieces, glue over the pink piece and that's it.

I repeat this same procedure with the rest of the appliqués that I will use (phrases, snowflakes, name and age of the little one), only changing the order of the colors or the material to be used to give a little more colorfulness to our work.

With all the pieces ready, let's go to the next step.

Step 2

The next step is to assemble the base where our appliqués will go, which will be located at the back of the tray. This time I wanted to use two arches of different materials and sizes, one with the frosted cardboard and the other a little higher with the textured foamy.

For both bows I cut out a piece exactly the same in white cardboard and glued them with the double-sided adhesive blocks. This time, as you can see, I didn't leave white edges, but cut them flush.

Step 3

The next step is to decorate the front of the tray, and for that I decided to use the frosted cardboard I bought, which if you notice is a really nice gradient blue.

What I did was to measure the part I needed to cover and transfer those measurements to the cardboard, and cut out and glue with the help of the silicone gun.

Step 4

To finish our breakfast tray the next step is the assembly, and for this we just need to fix each piece in place taking into account of course what we are going to place on it so as not to cover our work.

In this case I fixed with silicone the two arches I made at the beginning, leaving one superimposed on top of the other, then I fixed with double-sided adhesive the characters of the movie, the name of the girl and the age.

Then on the front of the box the phrase "Happy Birthday", some snowflakes to decorate and work finished.

As you can see, it is a simple job, but I will not deny that it takes a lot of time, because when working with layers we must use at least three for each piece, which involves marking, cutting and gluing, many, many pieces (23 in this work), which of course takes hours, but it is definitely worth it, because the result is beautiful, besides it gives dimension to the appliqués.

And this way we can spoil that special person with a 100% personalized detail, created with our own hands.
