THE NEWBIES INITIATIVE TASK 5: TRIBE TOKENS AND THE USE OF TAGS.

Hello hive friends

As a participant of the #newbies-hive initiative, I cannot mention how honored and glad I am to be a beneficiary of this program. It has helped me in more ways than I can count. And over and over again I say a big thank you to @starstrings01 @projectmamabg @aliento and all persons involved in this great program for newbies. Tasks 5 tutorials was brought to us by @samostically, he really dissected and explained tribe tokens and the use tags, and I am grateful for his very insightful tutorials.

Our task 5 question
Requires us to put down a summary of what we understood from the tutorials made by @samostically on the topic; Tribe tokens and the use of tags.

Tokens are created by communities to reward community members and show support to those who post in a community or use tribe or community tags. Tribe tokens are also known as community tokens are tokens they are built on the Hive Blockchain as an extra reward to members of the community or tribe that crest content in the community. Aside for curation which the community might choose to give a community member for making a post in the comments, the community can also give its tribe token as an extra reward to its members.
According to @samostically it can also be referred to as layer two tokens. There are alot of these tokens on the Blockchain and a lot of them are created by Communities.

Tags are those labels we include at the end of our posts. The fundamental work of making a tag on Hive is to create visibility for our contents. The usage of tags benefit both the authors and the Curators.

here is why

First it helps authors get their posts found easily and also helps in Search engine work faster.
. It helps curators easily find their favourite content to curate. For example this task has its tag which myself and every other participant of the newbies hive initiative will use, this would help help the admins and curators of our task find every participants task easily and faster.

. The use of tags is another way to earn a tribe token. This is because by using the tribe's tag in your post you have gained their attention and the automatic token engine rewards your post with the tribe token. This therefore means you can earn multiple tribe tokens on a single post with the use of tags.As fun as making use of tags may Sound, we should know the correct way to make use of it, because abuse of some tags are frowned upon by some communities. For example the #hive-learners give very strict warning not to make use of their hl-exclusive tag if you aren’t making a featured post from their weekly featured content. There are many tokens/communities on Hive which means there are many tags that can make your post visible in their community, just know the right one to use for each of your post. As you can’t be posting about food and making use of the sports or motherhood tags. I recommend you use only tags related to your post. Still it’s important to know that Some tags are general and can be used for any type of content, while some can only be used for related content.

(This is a general tag, can be used generally for any type of post)

STEM - Stem tribe

ONEUP - 1Up tribe

LEO - LeoFinance Tribe

(Very specifically used for Leo finance posts or can also be used when posting in the Leo financial frontend)

VYB - Vybrainium tribe

Below are some of the various ways you can earn a tribe token on hive;

• staking your earned tribe tokens and voting for others. When you do this you will earn a curation reward in form of the tribe/community token

• Buying of these tokens, getting them staked or earning them or from them as well. Like I stated earlier these tribe tokens provide both author and curation rewards respectively.

• When you engage and post in a community. As I mentioned earlier tokens are given as reward to community members for making post in the community. For example in the Ladies of hive community will always give you their LOH token when you make a post in their community or participate in any of their contest.

• Another way to earn these tokens is by the use of tribe tags like the pob, vyb, neoxian, Leo, stem, etc. for the right posts. You can earn multiple tribe tokens on a post by making use of various necessary tags, general tags and tags related to your post.
