My theory is that it's not actually Christmas that gets you so excited, but rather the Christmas season leading up to it. You were born to be merry. So, savor every moment of those four days.

You are 100% correct. I think Christmas is a time of gladness and family, warmth, love, and all of that wrapped up in my heart.
The reality of it is that I enjoy the leading up to the day enormously. The buildup, the decorating, the warmth, the feelings of love and family... The kindness spread for no other reason, other than it is Christmas.
Yes. Guilty. Very guilty. I savor every moment of it. I even drag everyone I know into it. Why not? :)) Who doesn't want to be deliriously happy? Except for Krampus.
