Things Like This

You know how we always say we'd do this if we had this? Maybe, for example, how most people would always say that if they had a lot of money, then they would do this and this for people. Well, inasmuch as I do know that in most cases, when people do eventually get to that position, they end up not doing that thing they said they would do, I actually don't think I would be one of those people, or at least not in this case.

If there's one reason that I've always wanted to be rich, it is so that I could get to do things spontaneously. We all know that if there's one thing money gives, it is freedom, and that is freedom to do almost anything you want, as long as it's legal.

Earlier today I was reminiscing about some old times with some friends, and I remember this one time I had gone to the restaurant, gotten a lot of food, and brought it over to two of my friends.

A few days ago they had told me that they would be able to finish all of that food, and I had doubted them because it was too much food. So when I eventually had some money, I went to buy all of that food. The bet was simple: finish the food and you don't have to pay me back for it.

You get to walk away with a full stomach and with zero debts, but don't finish the food, and you have to pay back the money I spent on purchasing the food. So basically I had nothing to gain from the bet; I literally was just doing it for fun, and it was the good type of fun because they both were willing and more than happy to participate.

They both ended up eating everything and even requested for more. It was a crazy night, but it was one filled with surprises, laughter, and a full stomach. It's things like that that sometimes make me wish I were as rich as I want to be so that I could wake up one morning and just book a flight to a resort for a vacation with family and friends.

Things like that give me some sort of happiness inside that I sincerely can't describe.
