Happy Thursday 🎊 and a very warm welcome to my report. I have had a lovely day and it's now time to break down how it went including some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
You definitely know the drill, let's get things rolling 💨.
So I did begin my day with a quick walk around the neighborhood. It was mostly cloudy ☁️ as I made my way. However the day has been quite sunny🌞and above twenty degrees.
Then I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Later settled down to some you tube videos and also watched the trending news.
The final walk was the usual slow paced sunset 🌄 walk. This time around the neighborhood ending up at the park 🌲 before heading back home and calling it a day.
So that was the stepping and now let's delve into the trending stories making headlines.
In Gaza, the mass murder kept going with 55 Palestinians killed across the strip in Israeli airstrikes targeting Hamas😿.
Meanwhile, chaos and confusion continued as people tried to reach food distribution centres. There were blasts at one of the centres. Several Palestinians have been killed and others injures while trying to get food🙀.
Not far off, Israel has approved major illegal settlements in the West Bank, the biggest in decades🙀.
The UN says Israel demolished 1,700 Palestinian buildings and homes across the west bank last year🙀, slowly kicking out Palestinians out of their land. 61% of land now under Israel.
In the other war, Both Russia and Ukraine fired missiles into each others territories🙀.
One person killed in Sumy area of Ukraine😿. However, Russia managed to intercept most of drones fired by Ukraine towards Moscow and other areas.
Across the pond in the US, A federal court has blocked all Trump tariffs sending global markets soaring🎊🎉.
However, the white house has called the ruling an example of an overreach.
Another Federal Judge has extended the order blocking Trump's order on Harvard not to recruit foreign nationals. Harvard will therefore continue recruiting foreign students🎊.
The US govt or Trump has frozen nearly $3 billion in Federal contracts and grants to Harvard over Gaza protests. Harvard still in court to reverse this.
According to the grapevine, the beef between Harvard and Trump is a case of sour grapes after Harvard failed to admit last born son, Baron Trump😹.
More beef in the Trump administration this time with Chinese students. Sec of state, Marco Rubio tweeting that the US will revoke student visas of Chinese students🙀. The fate of close to 280,000 Chinese students hangs in the balance😿.
Finally, after totally destroying USAID, exacerbating the suffering of vulnerable people across the world. Asking for silly emails from employees among other ridiculousness, Elon Musk has now left the Trump administration. Good riddance😹.
