Hello dear Hive friends, through this post, I would like to ask for your support, especially from stakeholders.

Background

Natural disasters have struck all of Aceh, including Central Aceh and Bener Meriah. These two regions are located in the central part of Aceh, so the impact has been quite severe. On November 26, 2025, a natural disaster struck this region and had a widespread impact on the lives of the people.

High rainfall caused flash floods and landslides. This has had a significant impact on the lives of the people, who have lost relatives and homes, and are facing famine. The problem is that damaged road access has isolated many villages in this region, due to its hilly and mountainous terrain.

Generally speaking, from various public media sources and my own personal testimony in the field, land routes are cut off, crossings are difficult due to muddy roads and cluttered with rocks and wood. This has significantly hampered logistics distribution. Furthermore, several remote areas are still experiencing power outages, darkness at night, and no cellular network connection. As a result, the reality on the ground is that the supply of basic necessities is extremely limited.

This situation has caused food prices to skyrocket. In reality, under these conditions, most residents lack the financial means to meet their food needs. By the second week, food supplies, such as rice, were dwindling. Many residents were walking outside the district to find rice. Their journeys took up to three days, but some survived on bananas due to their limited financial means.

This situation further exacerbated the plight of vulnerable groups such as the elderly, women, children, and those who had been displaced by the disaster. Despite these limitations, some residents remained enthusiastic about working together to survive. Volunteers and residents were trying to establish aid channels independently, but these efforts still required broader support from various parties, including our beloved Hive Blockchain-based web3 community.

Conditions on the Ground

Based on reports from several volunteer teams and my own analysis in the field, several villages remained in a state of partial to total isolation. Therefore, aid distribution can be carried out through alternative channels, collaborating with local parties and volunteers. I have access and connections with several local volunteers in several isolated villages.

Currently, the most pressing needs include:

  • Staple foodstuffs
  • Clean water
  • Special needs for the elderly, pregnant women, and infants

With food at such a high price, residents are forced to survive on what they have. Many families are only eating once a day; we cannot allow this situation to continue.

Goals and Target Beneficiaries

Through this proposal, I invite the Hive community, all resources, and stakeholders to contribute to charitable activities that can have a direct impact on victims of natural disasters.

  • Distributing basic food aid to disaster victims in isolated areas.
  • The initial phase will support donations for 20 families.
  • Priority donations will be distributed to the elderly, women, children, economically impacted residents, and those who have lost their homes.
  • Strengthening collaboration between the Hive community and local volunteers.
  • As a concrete demonstration that the Hive community is not just an online (technology) platform, but also a platform for humanity and solidarity.
  • Building a positive image of Hive as an ecosystem that cares about humanity.
  • Educating the public that blockchain can be used for social and impactful activities.

This target is fundamentally clear and will grow with the support provided by the Hive community. The Hive community has great power and in building awareness through concrete actions such as philanthropy and charitable activities. The decentralized and transparent system allows everyone to support without geographical boundaries.

This aid will be collected in the form of donations, which will then be used to purchase basic food supplies and other necessary items. The goods will be distributed directly to beneficiaries, accurately targeting them in disaster areas. I will document each process and create a transparent report via post.

This budget is an estimate and can be adjusted based on field conditions. Donations will be distributed no later than three days after all funds are collected, with my target being no later than the end of December 2025. A report on the final results will follow via post.

Support funds can be sent directly to my account @ponpase, so that data and transparency can be clearly tracked together.

Feedback

I will strive to provide feedback for supporting this charity, including:

  • Promote Hive through charity and social programs.
  • Expand the list and become the center of Hive Hubs in the Aceh region.
  • Create reports to be released to local and national media.
  • Publicize activities on websites and news portals.
  • If this charity project receives support and is successful, it will open up opportunities to hold seminars and workshops in the city center.

Closing

Through this proposal, I hope that even the smallest outpouring of compassion will be of great benefit to those in vital areas. I also hope that the Hive community can be part of a real solution for communities affected by natural disasters in Central Aceh. We will be able to prove that Hive is not just about technology and blogging, but more than that, about caring, generosity, and charity. Together, we can be a beacon of hope for them.
