Treat every Hive you earn as if it is worth 5 or 10 USD!

Sometimes I see people complain in posts about how little their posts are bringing in, or how small their curation rewards are. To these people I have two things to say.
Rome wasn’t built in a day
This proverb is the perfect example of Hive you need to treat this way of earning money. The beginning isn’t easy, you have to build your stack, your following and your reputation, and eventually the rewards will follow. As long as you’re consistent. But that’s not what I wanted to talk about today.

Think about what the value can and will be
Imagine you have a post, earning you just shy of 1 HP. At today’s prices, that’s not much, somewhere around 80 dollar cents. And if you only look at it from that perspective, it will bring you down. But there is another way you have to look at it.
You have to treat that HP as if it is already worth 5 or 10 USD. That will change your mindset completely. Because, believe me, Hive will eventually get to that value and maybe even more. If you consistently do that, your perspective on things will change completely and you will feel encouraged to post and curate as you should. And there’s more, that single HP brings you in extra curation rewards every single day from now on. Not much, but a bit, every single vote you cast. How easy is that. So that measly 80 cents is suddenly worth a lot more, just by changing the way you look at things!

That has been my mindset from day one and this is a realistic view for what you are earning each day. When I joined the other blockchain the price was over $4 and where my mind has stuck with the price ever since.

Exactly, if you are here during the time of $0.10 you shouldn't be complaining now and for the new users give Hive a long term view, look back at its growth and that will do in keeping you motivated.

That is well said and we shouldn't be overwhelmed by the current price on the market, but think about what Hive will become will all the current and incoming projects. A price point of $5 is surely within our reach and it could be pushed to $10 or more with everything that's going on.

We should always remember that we are earning in Hive not in $, the quantity is valued in dollar, which can not be stagnant for life. It will surely go up. So imagine accumulating no matter how little it is, and in the next 5 years Hive becomes $1,000. The 0.1 Hive or 1 Hive you are looking to be a small money today will be worth $100 or $1,000

Definitely every Hive is worth much more than it currently is, if we look back at the days when it was worth 20 cent and now between $0.80-$1.0 then there's going to be a time when it will be worth $5 and above.

I like your view of things and I completely agree. I like the 5-5-5 club that taskmaster talked about before ($5 Hive, LEO, and CUB). Although I am not sure if CUB can hit $5 again though.

:) Neat way to look at it! I try and think of it also as a weekly, monthly, or annual addition of HP at a rate of 1+/day.. that's what I aim for..
I treat every HIVE I received as if it is worth $1 for now. $5 or $10 would be big surprise for me. However, I believe that it will reach there in the future.
but what a gem of a publication, very accurate what you say, change the perspective of things helps to see them in a way that even if it is little is much to succeed.
